I refer to a maximum career lifespan of about 15 years, as opposed to regular careers that can last 50 years. And he's lost one of those 15 years.Limited career?
The bloke is only 23.

So you're saying Hocking has already worked out his compo with the club?Dyson like the rest of the 11 are probably waiting to sort out the compensation with the club first before they commit imo.

Also have heard a few meetings have happened with Geelong, just don't know how we'd be able to afford him. But by crikey add him to the midfieldI heard that last night and must admit I didn't take it like that at all.
Of course there is a chance he won't come back but if there is anyone I'd be the most confident of returning it would be Dyson. Has been chatting to the kids regularly and giving advice and his parents even attended the walk to the MCG last week.
There has been rumours of him meeting with Geelong but I'd expect most if not all clubs to chat to him at some stage
Not that I care even slightly, particularly when it's coming from you, but I do just want to register my bemusement at your thoughts here.I don't want these Essendon players leaving. It will allow clubs to top with without having to give anything up, and I don't want any of them at my club because they are cheats. Each club will have to choose:
a) recruit a drug cheat
b) let another club recruit a drug cheat and get a massive leg up
It will compromise the league. I hope the 12 drug cheats stay put or retire.

Not a believer in letting people move on after they've done their time? I can just see you mashing comments on the herald sun about throwing away the keys for people in jail and calls ng for the death penalty etc.
The while point about a punishment is you repay your debt to society etc and start fresh. But not for you. Kind of bone headed but not surprising
"Your mind" is utterly irrelevant though. Again, like a herald sun reader thinking they know better than a judge of 30 yearsNo need to call me bone-headed, especially when I've been right about so much over this saga. I don't think a 1 year ban is sufficient punishment for taking PED's. So no, in my mind they won't have "done their time".

Don't know how the Cats could afford him most of their cap will be going to Danger.
YepReally? Would love him at the Cats.
Though I really think now we need another KPF, would not say no to the Hepp.
I don't he think will.
Essendon have been very good to him and the other players it's not like the club have abandoned them.
Doesn't fit your age profile about 10 years too young.Wouldn't be surprised if Heppell ended up at North.
What are you taking about? Dyson has said that he was fully aware on what he was injected with.
I think your defence of your club is admirable but personally i think you would be far better off once all the players involved are move on.. the proverbial clean slate. As long as you get comp picks for any players your lose I think losing Heppell or who ever will only be short term pain and give you a chance to build a group of young players that can stand against the likes of GWS in years to come.
As far as the technicalities of what the players knew and what they did not..listening to that Prismall interview..if they knew what they were taking , then they also knew enough not to list it. Not one player listed Thymosin on their form of substance taken. Amazing how all of them just over looked the same substance.
Perhaps , they may have thought they knew what they were taking but that is not what it looks like they were administered and thus being suspended. It would seem that no matter what the players thought they were taking , the documentation and protocols were poor so no one really knows what they took. So how can you say he knew what has gone into his body? To set the system up with an outsider like Dank , probably has given the club the chance to wash their hands of it.. but if I was a player..Id have an ongoing issue with what they asked the players to. To go to work each day would only keep the annoyance fuelled.
No matter what contract he is on at Ess , the point is its probable that its null and void. And as far as dollars goes.. what would Heppell be on? If he is just after a big dollar pay day..he will not be at Geelong. Is he at Selwood / Danger level?
His parents were at the march last week I don't think he will be leaving.
couldnt begin to imagine the chaos at windy hill if heppell left. your next captain for a decade leaves. stuff the club id be feeling for the supporters, youd nearly go out the back and say goodnight.
hoping he stays for the faithful.
How can he say that, when the club who injected him say 'we don't exactly what we injected' ??What are you taking about? Dyson has said that he was fully aware on what he was injected with.
