Andrew Crowell ?

I must admit when I first saw him in an Ansett Cup match, he looked like a future superstar. Built like a wrestler, the speed of a sprinter, and good fundamentals..

3 years later, I think he has taken backward steps. He makes stupid decisions, doesnt use his strength of his pace to his advantage, and just looks like a dumb footballer.

How many times does he get his kick spoiled, kicks to a teammate thats under pressure???

Does anyone remember vs Collingwood, where collingwood kicked the ball inside 50, and crowell's man went for the mark.. and Crowell was still staring at the scoreboard.

What has happened to this guy, he is now 25 years old, and from being a player with emmense potential.. he may have 1 yr left of him, before gettin the axe.

I think now with Torney in town, Crowell will have to improve a hell of a lot to still be a crow in 2004.

He was good but not brilliant this season. But yeah, tend to agree that he looked really promising in 2000. I think he deserves another year at least.

I thought he found a niche towards the end of this year KC but he'll have to consolidate next season if he's going to stay on the list for 2004. On his last chance but will be there in 2003 IMO.

I can't see Crowell making our full-strength team with Torney's recruitment & the likes of Massie who should improve further in 2003. I reckon we should trade him if possible, whilst he has had a half decent year.

He'll certainly be with us in 2003, but I agree with all the postings so far that he appears to have the whole package but rarely ever puts it all together at once with decision making letting him down constantly.

He played a blinder on Milne when he totally embarrassed him and had him taken off without even sniffing leather. I wish he could put it altogether like that more often or 2003 could be his last year.
