Some people say "The Fat Man" did a good job when he was in AFL house, but he certainly made sure he was very well paid for it, and i maintain that with "The Fat Man" is was money first for him and then the game.

Casinos in my opinion are an evil in society and destroy people life's and relationships.
They temp people in with Ladies nights and 2 meals for the price of one etc.
It is my opinion that no sporting organisation or teams should accept any form of sponsorship from them or bookmakers.

I agree with the last part but my biggest issue with them is the protection they get from government. Punters should get a fair go at winning and governments should enforce that.

There is no way they should be able to ban people simply for having a good memory. They should be made to accept all-comers and if they lose some money - then so be it.

I'm sure they would try under handed tactics against those winning punters but that could be legislated against as well.

depends who you are. If your like me. I live in Adelaide. I go to the Casino just to Watch AFL games and have the occasional lunch or dinner meal. then gambling isnt an issue.

You are 100% correct. For a man who had an opinion on how sports should be run in Australia he's gone very quiet.
In my opinion he was fully aware of the Bombers situation from day one, and wasn't the 3 strike rule brought in under his watch?
Even if it wasn't he kept it in place as in my opinion he was aware of the games drug problems and Money First Andy didn't want anything becoming public knowledge that might affect HIS INCOME.

They're given carte blanche protection from the Government, yes.
The last Tasmanian State election was won by Will Hodgman and the Liberals on the back of absolutely enormous financial backing from the Farrell family, owners of Federal Group.
They virtually bought the election for the Liberals on the back of a scare campaign designed to hoodwink the public into believing that an ALP plan of removing poker machines from suburban pubs and clubs to offset the amount of financial hardship caused by problem gambling out in the suburbs and towns across the state, would cause trememdous job losses and send unemployment rates through the roof.
Was somewhat ironic that the Liberals chose to stage their campaign against pokie reform on the front steps of the Glenorchy RSL Club with all their staff crying crocodile tears for the media throng "worrying for their jobs and their future if poker machines are removed by this damaging ALP plan".
About a year after the election the club, having kept their machines, ended up being embezzled by many of the same people campaigning for the cameras on the doorstep during the election and went broke and closed down for good!
