How long until he gets shipped over & starts training with us?

Last night on SEN I think he said he expected to fly over on Monday.

On when we might expect him to play, personally I reckon not until the end of the season, and only then to get a few tasters. He hasn't played against men and he doesn't have a man's body, so a solid stint in the WAFL is required.

Speaking of which, do we know which club'll get him yet?

Only fair that he comes to Swans since we lost A Krak.

Isn't there a reverse draft for interstate players coming to West Coast and Freo?

Gaff probably wont last very long in that one because he's good and will play some WAFL due to being skinny. I reckon he could be pick 1 in that draft.

It looks like Gaff's put on a bit of muscle since the championships, and Conca's gotten fat :p

Might just be the picture though.

PS: Stoked Gaff's finally an eagle, he'll be a gun. Looks bloody good in a WC jumper too:thumbsu:

wirra ,he weighs 78 kg which is comparable to

sheppard 79 kgs
kerr 80 kgs
masten 77 kgs

gaff played 1 game against the sydney reserves for AIS and got 35 touches
So should be around the mark to get some games next year.

This guy is just a top bloke. His professionalism is outstanding. Growing up I knew he would get drafted one day - never expected it to be this high - but always knew he would be drafted. Can't speak highly enough of his character though, and ****, I've never seen him pick up less than 25 touches.

That doesn't come into it, you don't participate in the reverse draft if you finished in the top 4.

Correct and Perth were wooden spooners, I think? so will probably go to them. Otherwise it will be Peel.

East Freo will be hardest hit because they were in the top 4 and lost a few players in the draft, which they can't replace from the interstate players arriving at the Eagles or Dockers.

Hey guys.
just wanted to offer you congratulations on your excellent drafting. I've known Andrew personally since year 7 and can tell you with 100% certainty that you could not have picked a better character. He is a star, works harder then anyone else i've ever met, was a straight a student at carey grammar and I would be shocked if he did not play at least 200 extremely successful games for the west coast eagles football club.
cheers

Sounds like someone we used to have on our list

Are you confident those weights are up to date? Cause if you have a look at the vision of Kerr say and then Gaff, def looks like more than 2kgs difference between them.

True enough though he's probably no smaller than Sheppard was when we drafted him last year and he played plenty.

It's muscle mass aswell. Kerr is ripped. Cousins I have no doubt would have only weighed ~80kg as well.

Gaff doesn't have any muscle tone at all.

Gaff seems to have pretty well developed thighs already - makes sense, given his running ability.

I'd say that's where most of the kg are coming from. It's also good news because he's already got a solid base to build from - I can see him building up pretty quickly.
