ANDREW JARMAN: Chance to shower Roo with praise
28may04
I JUST want to say a big congratulations to a lad I have always admired from the first time he walked into our changerooms as a pimply-faced 17-year-old – Mark Ricciuto.
He has developed into a sensational leader and a terrific bloke.
I hope his team-mates really dig deep and win against the Hawks at the "G" tomorrow. Boys, if there's one game you have to win for your captain it's this weekend.
The amount of times he has put his body on the line and turned games around has been superb.
I remember when he first started training Graham Cornes would put him on me for marking contests.
He was a baby and I was one of the old fellas and I thought I would stitch him up. I got one out of 50 marks – I couldn't beat him. I knew then that he had arrived!
I also remember a shower scene – woops I better not talk about that! Well done, mate, you have done your football club and your state proud and I wish you all the best. I'll meet you for a beer at the Ramsgate next weekend!
If that's what I think it is then Matt Golding's mail was spot on
