Vale Krakouer

Used to see him every other weekend when he was in prison, had a family friend's dad who also played in the prison team. Was such a nice man and had so much time for the teen I was. Credit to him for working on himself and changing his course.

Like others have said, that 2010 granny was nothing short of incredible.

Will be missed. Thoughts go out to his mob

In 137 AFL games, 44 times he kicked 2+ goals in a game. Pretty good strike rate. Basically every 3.1 games he kicked 2+ goals. Not bad for a small crumbing forward.

Hope this is okay - please remove if it’s not Chief

If anyone is able to help it would be much appreciated.

It was - the most epic game played outside of the AFL that I’ve watched in the last 20 odd years (admittedly I am no expert in that regard but that was a special game).

Krakouer was superb that day (4 goals, 40 possies) and all season 2010 really - won the Sandover too.

He never really got to play that role in the middle when he returned to the AFL - it would have been interesting if he had lobbed to WCE instead who were also keen from most reports at the time, would have had a better chance of getting a gig in the middle.

At the funeral (I was there) former Swan Districts coach Brian Dawson said that Andrew would of racked up 290 Champion Data points. If a player gets 100 then they are doing pretty good and the average in the WAFL for that 2010 season was 70. Thats how far and away in terms of how good it was that performance was. 500 to 600 people turned up at the funeral. From what I could see, I saw:

Darren Gaspar
Kayne Pettifer
David Rodan
Michael Walters
Jarrad Oakely Nicholls
Shai Bolton
Chance Bateman
Des Hedland
Michael Mitchell
Liam Ryan
Garth Taylor
Ronnie Burns
Derek Kickett
Heritier Lumumba
Collingwood officials
Richmond officials

Former and current Richmond players/officials at Punt Road, about 70 of them including Matthew Richardson attended the streaming service in the Maurice Rioli room and this was so nice of Richmond to do this.

R.I.P Andy. Farewell, MCG Specialist. The MCG was your favourite ground.
