from Knightmare's phantom draft on ESPN:

34 West Coast - Andrew McPherson
Height, Weight:
186cm, 79kg
Profile: Composed half-back flanker who is an able stopper and uses the ball cleanly out of defence. Also has capability to push through the midfield.

from Bishop's phantom draft (he picked it)

ROUND THREE

Pick 41: Adelaide – Andrew McPHERSON
Medium Defender (Woodville-West Torrens/South Australia)
20/06/1999 | 185.7cm | 79.4kg

Scouting notes: A good ball user across half back where McPherson just gets the job done. He showed promise in the National AFL Under 18 Championships last year, but missed the carnival in 2017 due to injury. McPherson rebounds it well and can play across the wing. Reads the play well and has a good mix of attack & defence. The AFL Academy member dealt with a quad injury throughout the first half of the 2017 season.

from Snoop Dog 's phantom draft (he picked it too)

# 40 Adelaide

ANDREW MCPHERSON – WWT / MEDIUM DEFENDER / 186CM

Could be this year’s Alex Witherden as been off the radar given his injury run. Highly regarded in SA by their coach and he some smarts about him. Seen a bit of him last year (mainly) and I think he projects as a quality player whose calm under pressure, copes with frontal pressure well as he rebounds and makes good decisions. He has good running ability and lovely ball skills. Got some good form in late in the year in the Ressies. He wont go as high as Alex did but he is steal 30+

Why / Who else

Big fan of his and think they will jump at him over Paton. A really quick line breaking back would suit them I reckon but they have a good list and I would argue this bloke is probably next best anyway along with Paton.

Don’t know anything about him. Bicks have you got any info?
Great pick up, running back/mid, good pace and agility, excellent foot skills, good composure, high character young man. Bar for his persistent quad niggle and later hamstring issues this year he wouldn't have been available if he had the opportunity to frank last year's form.

Body right and we are set to go.

A leader, a natural running half back. Exactly what we need. Having that general in the back lines running off and pinpointing teammates would be worth its' weight in gold

Risk vs reward here. If we can get him into our system and keep him fit he will be a star.

Really like him in the 10 or so games I've seen live.

We're on a winner here

Provides some daring run off the HBF, with a great kick to boot. Has a great balance of defensive game and offensive dash. Also got a nice endurance base.

As good as we could hope for at 39, welcome Andrew :thumbsu:

Where would he have gone this year, based on last years form ?

Have many seen him play locally ?

Pity he wasn’t drafted a year ago, we could use him to take Smiths half back this year.

Will be interesting, will he allow Smith to play on the wing when he returns in 19?

Seems to be a theme in our picks this year.
