I saw this too. I was standing behind the goal which the dogs were kicking too in the last qtr.I've never been an Andrew Moore fan. Have always thought he was overrated on here. However, I've been willing to keep trying him in the first team simply because we still need a big bodied mid in our side apart from Wines to win the contested ball. What has struck me about Moore is that I refer to him as a "dumb footballer." By that, I'm saying that he was no spatial awareness and is slow to make decisions. This generally means he's a step or two behind the play, leading to increased pressure when he gets the ball, resulting in generally a rushed disposal (i.e. not optimal). To add to that, his defensive pressure is just non-existent at times. Gets caught ball watching. Attached is a photo I took today at the game. To me, it summed up why Moore needs to go.

Let me put this into context for you. At the start of the 4th quarter, just before the bounce, the Dogs had an unmarked man in their forward line just on the 50m arc. Wingard was playing as an extra man behind the ball who would rush through the middle of the ground at the opening bounce. Moore was on the right wing (relative to the direction we were kicking). Wingard was pointing, shouting, pretty much losing the plot at Moore to man the extra Dog forward up. Moore acknowledged Wingard, started to go closer to the man, yet as soon as the bounce started, Moore left the man and ran straight into the centre square. Sure enough, the ball gets out to the dogs runners on the outside, and straight to the man that Moore should have been marking. He then kicked the ball to the top of the square which resulted in a mark and goal (I think it was to Redpath). Sure enough, both sides reset their structures and go back to the middle. The photo above was taken as the ball was bounced after the goal. What it shows is Moore going into the square, giving the same Dogs forward a good 30 metres of space, not to mention the space in behind him. It shows how non accountable Moore was today. Is he that bloody thick between the ears? I know we're chasing the game, but there is no way that Ken structurally designed it such that Moore is leaving that guy all alone at the start of the centre bounce. Pissed me off even more so given that Wingard gave him an earful to pick up the man and he ignored it the first time, and then at this bounce. It sums up how we played today.
I personally hope he never plays for the club at the AFL level again. I've had a gut full of him.

I was posting as that happened during the game.
What I saw was that pizza hut (Moore) was running to cover that player then kicked it to the top of the square and I think 43 marked it. I did not know that about Wingard and pointing to that position. I will find the post it was a fascinating fascinating moment in football and placement.
I've tried to fix it up.I've been a critic of his for some time, but I feel today's game is worthy of praise.
With Wines out early in the game, Moore stepped up and played very well. Very happy with his performance.
Can't help but think we would have won today if Ah Chee had been in for Moore.
Interesting, but if Jane ordered chinese instead of pizza for 56 would Moore handball to Allah with adverb?I was posting as that happened during the game.

No. We would have been a couple of goals better, but Moore was not a 10 goal difference on his own. Can't help but think we would have won today if Ah Chee had been in for Moore.
i'm not in the "port players are way too skinny brigade" but Moore is 6-7kg below his optimum playing weight. if he's going to play the role he was meant to play, he needs to be able to just run through blokes because he sure as hell aint going to be dancing around them. or getting quick kicks to a target. Pointless trying to turn him into a running machine because why would we want to use him on the outside.
JPK is over 100kgs....

and JPK could probably out run him too. no point him packing on the muscle if he can't think his way around at AFL speed
Moore is a good endurance athlete from memory he was coming 4th-5th in our 3km time trials. If he shed some endurance for mass he would be quicker and stronger. I think it's a moot point for us as he is being delisted/traded. Although I'll stick my neck out and say if he gets picked up by a Sydney or Essendon with big weights program, he'll be twice the player he was here.
