Just wondering if anyone knows how 1AW is travelling. I believe he is out of the sling and doing some running. I heard he is eyeing Rd. 9 vs Fremantle at the Telstra Dome

round 9 would be fantastic achievement but i doubt he will be ready before around round 12.

no need to rush him back, he is very young and no point in him being rushed back with the chance of doing more damage to the shoudler.

but am hanging to see the kid play this year, he was going to be let loose i think!!

We won't rush him back, we might be tanking come round 12?

Hmm, you're humerous:rolleyes:.

I think the best for Walker to aim for would be round 10 or 11, but I think it's still a bit too early to call.

Is doing it tough watching I can guarantee that, the shoulder is coming along better than expected, but,I hope he is sensible enough not to con everybody at the club and attempt to come back too early.
As an aside,I sat down and watched his 2007 highlights package(every game, every kick, mark, goal,hb,chase etc.)provided by the club.
One thing i hadn't taken a great deal of notice of in the past(probably because I was used to seeing it regularly at under age level),was that every time he went to the ball,it was a fair dinkum contest.

on the radio the other day (IIRC) he said about 5-6 till hes cleared. Obviously a couple after that before he plays but yeh

A couple of weeks back one of the players told me that he is recovering much faster than anticipated and will be back well before expected, I have no idea how that would translate into weeks or rounds though...

I heard Ratts on the radio the other day and he said that when he came back during the NAB Challenge he was at 14% risk of doing the shoulder again.

I hope they take this into consideration next time around considering that's exactly what happened :(

considering the time he's been (and will be) out, and also the complete lack of pre-season he had, i'd be thinking once hes ready to play again they'll give him some time in the bullants to get some match fitness up. i dont think hes the kind of player yet that can come back from 12 weeks of injury strait into the senior side, we'll need to give him probably 2-3 weeks to get the confidence in his game and body back

He was at the game on Saturday night, and he still had the sling on his shoulder

I didn't see him seated anywhere, he was standing near the race, just after or just before we went out to do our pre-game warm up :)

How the hell who they quantify the risk?
