that was his best game
Most memorable, perhaps.
But he had some BOG 30+ possession, half a dozen R50 matches a few years ago. Often featuring searing runs through the middle.
They were his best IMHO, even better than his 2011 matches up forward...

Much as I would love for him to play on next year, I don't think that he would be doing himself any favours by playing on an extra year. There is nothing worse than a former great playing on one year to many... see Pav and Goodes as prime examples. If he can stay injury free for the rest of the year, by the end of the year he will be playing some decent footy
I'd like to revisit your views then.
Just think if we can get another 1/2 a season out of him next year, we could ease Jack or Charlie into the seniors and it may be better for there development.
Then by the start of the 2018 season, they are ready to take his spot in the forward line
I also like the idea of him being around to provide some on field leadership in the forward line, his good training habits and to help develope our young talent

The medical rumours floating about are that 1AW's knees are pretty much bone on bone now.Think it's a bit unfair to judge Walks on how he has looked on field this year. By years end if he still can't get on the park consistently and his form isn't great, then by all means he should pull the plug.
But if he can get his body right then having him play 10-12 game next year in the 1's and a few games in the 2's, could be a reasonable option.
Walker is 30 not 34, half a season more to help us develope our other young tall forwards could be a good move.
