but what does everyone else think of us looking at Lovett.

absolutely in Premiership mode we are - would he not add depth to our list ?????

Agree, not in our best 22....but then again if Tooves goes....mmmm never know! :cool:

if he wanted to play on the minimum i dont see how he'd be a negative..

pretty simple if he stuffs up - hes goneski.

don't know why we wouldnt look at it..
 
i honestly could not see what others saw in him - even before the legal issues hit. what was it, pick 8 the saints paid. he was a good mid in a poor to average, and aging side. with the mids the saints had its doubtful he would have seen any serious mid time, and hence used like we use wellingham - forward/mid depth.

not needed.
 
Turns 29 next month, and he wouldn't be worth the risk. Waste of time, money and list space. Same applies for Fevola x482902221

this is a tough situation, no doubt lovett is a good player, however i just dont know where we could fit him in the 22. Who would come out, we have a lot of players similar to him, i think we're better off going for fev!
 
my memory isn't the greatest but he wasn't that good was he?
I think the public perception of his ability is based on one pretty good Anzac day game. He was a bit of a front-runner as well.

Forgetting his legal issues and the potential off-field disruptions I don't think he is worth chasing even as just a footballer, especially at his age.

I find it kinda strange how the Saints sacked him because...

Wasn't he found not guilty in a court of law?



P.S:- If I had to take one, it would be Fev in a heartbeat. There is no man on earth that could dominate from the goalsquare than that freak... apart from Daics... but he just turned 50!

I doubt he'd replace anyone in our midfield.

We have great cohesion in the team, I don't get the impression he'd have a positive influence there...maybe wrong...just have a suspicion that may be the case.
 
Put aside his troubles I don't think he is good enough to get a game. Has never had a good year only has a good game here and there.

I'm not forgetting how good a player he was. But what he did to his ex girlfriend is disgraceful and his behaviour since seems to be in a similar vein. We don't need shit characters like him at the football club.
 
He was a decent player in 2009. Hasn't played AFL since and will be 30 next year.

That and the fact he rocked up to his 1st training session at St.Kilda for the 2010 season and beat home only ruckman in the 3km time trial.

The guy doesn't give a shit and would be a cancer to any club.

He will not get picked up.
 
I'm constantly amazed at the amount of people on these boards who will take any f@cker just because they happen to be a good footballer and completely disregard the chaos and poison they spread within the club.
 
Essendon were keen to get rid of him because the players did not like him. I know that for a fact. We do not want him.
