Andy Otten from the Oakleigh Chargers has been best on ground the last 3 weeks. The kid is a Talent and I belive will go in round 2 or 3 in this years draft, at 191cm and 18 years of age, he is a KPP in the making. Hope Collingwood have a look at this kid beofre anyone else does.

Also rate the little rover Pat Tomkins, quick and hard at it midfielder-HBF he is picking up positions with ease, needs to be more accountable but may be picked later in the draft or be rookie listed.

Both a good young kids with a great work ethic, good luck to both.

Andy is a great player but i dont think that he will play KPP. I believe that he will be a tall (Adam Goodes like) midfielder, he plays there for school and Oakliegh and is showing how damaging he can be. Failing that he slots in very well on the HFF. I would love to see him at the Tigers.
Here are his stats for this year if you didnt see it on the 'Mock 25! its started' thread:

13 games (in the best in all but two games)
5 BOGs (last 3 games in a row)
Av. 15 kicks per game
Av. 12 handballs per game
Av. 6 marks
Av. 27 disposals

are you by any chance a friar yazdo?

I haven't seen him play, but his name has been put up here consistently and always with rave reviews. From what I've heard, I'd also be very pleased to see him in a Pies jumper. :)

Yes I am a friar. Don't know what that means but yes I am. I met Andy the other night and he is a smashing lad.

His speed and mobility are very impressive for someone that height. I know that alot of the u/18s Oakliegh boys rate him very highly. is in the mould of goods, maily because of his height and athletisim. Should go 2nd or 3rd round and will be a nice pick up for whoever gets him

Andy otten is a very very classy player. With great skills, speed, and fitness at that height, there will be 15 very unlucky clubs this year come draft day.
He also looks to do the team thing unlike alot of players these days, and still manages to rack up 30 odd pozzys a week, and maybe more.
Good luck to the lad

I am just guessing but Friar might be someone who goes to Whitefries where Otten goes and yes is very talented and should be spoken about more often I believe, he will go late 1st or early 2nd round

I've seen him play forward, back and in the midfield. A pretty impressive kid who should go in the second round if you ask me.

Poor Champs hurt him but I think he will be one that moves up boards as we get closer to draft day. It will be interesting to see where he goes in the Phantom.

Poor champs? Did you see him play?
Played the last 2 games only, in the best in the 2nd and solid in the third.
Looked very comfortable out there.

Andy Otten over the past few weeks has impressed me immensely. He just looks like a man on the footy field and has developed into one of the best players in the TAC Cup this season. He has the great height and has a perfect body for AFL Footy, he might just need to work a little bit on his speed but its looking like a bright future for him.

Once again.... Andy Otten is a GUN!!!! Will and should go 1st round.

Yeah, his form lately will certainly be pushing him up the board - He's played almost exclusively as a ruck-rover and showed that he has the attributes for that position, which turns him from a 192cm utility with no real position in a 192cm midfielder who is extremely good overhead and could certainly hurt the opposition by pushing forward.

I didn't think he had as much midfield ability as he has shown now, but at this stage I couldn't see him making it past the first round.

Vinnie_Vegas69: I really respect your opinion on this forum, i don't post much but do read quite a bit, your opinion's are well worth a read everytime. Go the pies, and hopefully Andy falls to us at last pick in the first round. ;):D

Pick 17 for didak would probably work tho you guys would want a player too ;)

You'd find that patty tomkins went to whitefirars last year aswell, and andy ottens this year ---> Thus why he asked if he was a friar

The kid dominated for Oakliegh this year, played a good couple of games for Ted Franklin Memorial College in the FSS comp, my prediction would be between pick 24 and 38 for a utility of this type. Rumours are Fremantle are looking to rookie him if he slips throught the draft untouched

No chance of him slipping through, certainty to be picked up. Too good a player to be left out IMO

Yes as I said probably between 24 and 38, the kids unlucky to have been overlooked as a possible top 15 pick, he will be an absoloute star, 192cm, top 10 agility in the draft camp, could play almost any position!!! The future is bright for this young character
