Might have to rookie list a delisted/SANFL player to cover for him.

Bad luck for Andy. Great player. You guys will be fine for finals. Definately top four side even without Otten. Give Talia a run back there. He is a great rebounding defender, similar to Otten.

We need our defenders to step up further in future finals (esp against COLL). I thought Ben Rutten played one of the worst games of his career in the semi. Otten must be suffering badly from the mark that was taken away him and the knee (I assume its his left knee since left knees get done 80% of the time). Top 4 is a chance next season especially with our great draw but we have to win the close games to have a real shot at the whole thing. If we can't finish top 4 next year will be a failure just like 2007.

I haven't watched the game again but I thought Rutten played well (ignoring the last minute of course). All the best Andy, still plenty of time to fulfill your potential champ.

An ACL injury could happen to anyone on any team. It could happen to Tippett, Porps, Bock, so you have to be prepared.

Rutten absolutely dominated Anthony- Anthony was anonymous apart from the free in the last seconds on of the game.

Hmmm yes haha. Even though we have heaps of forwards, I'm glad it wasn't one of them. If it was Tippett or Porplyzia who had gone down, I probably would've been in tears! I'm not saying they're more important to our team than Otten, but we've had enough long term injuries to our forwards. Although now our defenders are all injured at the same time, but at least Truck & Bock should be ready to go by round 1 (unless the club is playing down Bock's injury again )

It has been confirmed that Otten will undergo conventional knee surgery and will miss the whole season rather than attempting experimental surgery. Good form from the club
