Yep, which is what he worked on all pre season with good results. He isnt slow just not explosive off the mark. Dyson's speed is a strength and i believe should be given a license to play on and kick long like he did in his first few years. If he doesnt make it its a big waste of talent.
Misiti lacked pace also.....

i hope Gus becomes a star for the Dons even tho I barrack for the Pies. I played a lot of jnr sport with him and I can categorically say that being a gun AFL player is all he has ever wanted to achieve. In jnr days there was never a more dedicated player and I sincerely doubt he would have dropped his good habits from those days. I haven't seen all that much of him this year, but he has the nous to turn any lapse in form around.

He punches above his weight in a manner of speaking. Very admirable, even at this early stage in his career.
Hes got courage for a start, as hes prepared to take a big hit if it means the team gets the footy or gets a goal from it.
He will get more of the ball as he gets better, and for a bloke thats played less than 40 games, hes going pretty well.

Well, yet another dissapointing day from Gus, Getting a bit worried here. He needs to either find more of the ball, or kick more goals. As a forward, he doesnt kick goals, and as a mid, he doesnt get enough of it. The coaching staff need to decide NOW where he will be playing for the rest of the career so he can get settled into his role.

small fries gets shown up in the pace dept in the middle. he needs to play forward. i cant see him making it anywhere else.
He might be due for a spell in the VFL. Just needs to put in some big performances and find some touch. Speaking of VFL, watched Sam Hunt on the ABC this afternoon, he did quite well actually and they smashed Casey.
