Worked pretty late last night so ordered a pizza for dinner (just about the only thing still delivering at 9pm). Got the cheesy crust (homerdrooling.jpg) and a side of the chicken wings. Pretty damn good actually. And the leftover pizza was sensational as lunch.

Not the worst meal you could get

Can't really fault Domino's other than their pizza is (as you'd expect) cheap and nasty. When you are paying $6 for a large pizza you don't expect the sort of quality you'd get from a top Italian restaurant, though.

You can order and pay online (and Google coupon discounts) then go and get it in 15 minutes or have it arrive on your doorstep. Driving to a McDonald's is probably faster, but ordering pizza online is the laziest of the fast food options.

Can't do the Dominos/Eagle Boys/Pizza Haven/Pizza Hut shite pizzas. Blobs of dough covered in plastic cheese.

We get ours from our local Pizzeria with real bases, real sauces, real ingredients made by real Italians and the Large pizza is LARGE.

Most annoying thing is having to pay extra to get a decent amount of cheese. That said the Eagle Boys is a 2 minute walk from work and eagerly await my call at 4:31PM every Friday afternoon that I'm at work. Often get little discounts here or there!

That said there was one time I tried to cook a home-made pizza, dough and all. I was 11 years old in Darwin, left alone in a unit with my at the time 9 year old sister (think the mother and her partner were putting on bets either on the greyhounds or the Caribbean Stud table at the casino, not sure and not game enough to ask). Made the dough OK, bit of self-raising flour, eggs, liquid and all that. Put the sauce on.....then realised I had NOTHING to put on it, no cheese, no toppings of any description. At least the dough turned out OK!

One just opened in my main street, prior to last Sunday I hadn't bought from them for a few years. I used to think they were cheap, this is no longer the case, cheapest pizza's are around $10 on the day I went there. Size is pathetic more like a normal pizza shops medium than a large. Very sparse of toppings. The ordering system and chick taking the order was like a talking robot. There is hardly any traditional types of pizza's on the menu, similar to Crust its all about prawns and BBQ sauce or some other shit combination. I opened the box and it looked like a supermarket frozen pizza.

I'll stick to the local store, there is 2-3 around here that are similar priced but give you a proper looking and sized pizza, or I'll make my own.

Deep pan Godfather was always a great little 'pick me up' at 1am house parties back in the day hahaha

The annoying thing is the cost/pizza ratio. Especially if you aren't picking up yourself. So many places offer more pizza for less money and the quality is just as good, if not better.
