Annoying things TV characters have done in their respective shows

What are some annoying things that TV characters have done in their respective shows that has made you want to throw the remote at the TV? Or things that in real life would happen, but have been 'morally' written right for the TV show?

Some off the top of my head are:

When Kevin Arnold did not want Madeline [The Wonder Years]

Major Nelson marrying Jeannie [I dream of Jeannie]

Dr. Karl not pursuing with Sarah [Neighbours]

And just about everything that happens on Seinfeld! that show is sooo frustrating! you know something bad will happen but they still do it! lol

Anyone on the daytime soaps trying to act. That annoys me but shows if you are good looking you will get a job on TV regardless of your acting ability, or in this case, lack of it.

Two character changes ruined the Simpsons, IMO.

1. Homer became increasingly stupid, boorish, and obnoxious.
2. Lisa became a vegetarian

Susan losing her memory! I have struggled to watch it since!! it makes you really feel sorry for Karl for not going all the way with Sarah.

I agree with Evan and Alex..perhaps they are trying to make it like The X-Files tension?

Check out Jump The Shark , a website about TV shows and when they took a turn for the worse, its good for a laugh.

'Jump the Shark' refers to the Happy Days episode where Fonzie waterskied over a shark, signalling how stupid that show really had become.

I hated the Maggie Doyle (Lisa McCune) was always so loving and sweet on Blue Heelers (to use my father's words, "She'd kill a diabetic")
