North is not looking for a gritty in and under midfielder so i doubt they will look at shuey. but thanks for making another mock draft for me to read i really enjoy them.

i thinik they may be. Stevens close to gone, they need another tough leader. But i doubt he'd go at 9. Plus if Hartletts available like the mock draft said he woudl be, theyd take him. Everything the teams gameplan revolves around.

But i see shuey going not much later, maybe 15 - 30

My attempt…

1. Melbourne – Jack Watts
With Neitz gone, Melbourne’s rebuilding phase begins with Watts
Considering we had pick 4,14,21 last year and had around 8 people delisted / retire i would say we are in our second rebuilding year.

:)

I think WCE should go for natanui ahead of rich and develop into a CHF/backup to cox especially with the introduction of more boundary umpires and then go for cockie with there second pick to cover the midfield. Just my thoughts, but they will probably go for rich which i think will be a mistake just like taking masten ahead of palmer.

Masten was suffering from OP all year so i dunno how any Eagles supporter can rate Palmer ahead after one year. Masten is a superstar and in 2009 he will show why he was rated so highly in juniors.

Also, Rich and Naita are both super talents and will be stars so you can't really lose by taking Rich, and it's stupid to say so.

If the Eagles take Cockie at 18, there is something seriously wrong. 3rd rounder at best.

Cockie at 18? Are you high? Will be lucky to go in the top 40. Pick 36 if that. Robinson, blease, hill and zaharakis are far better options at 18 and 20.
Masten over palmer a mistake?? What are you on about? Yes, palmer is more physically mature and had a good season, but i have full confidence in Masten being a better player in the long run. Masten fulfilled a certain requirement in the form of an inside mid. Palmer is a receiver with poor disposal. The only thng holding masten back is his OP and his physical size. The next Bartel.

stevens was close to gone a few years ago
but as for simpson agreed
Shuey is very underrated, took out vic metro b&f ahead of larke medalist Jack Watts, Tyrone Vickery, Michael Hurley etc., I've heard that North are very interested in him, and if they dont get him at pick 9 they probably wont get him at all

Cockie will be a star.. And beatlesmith ..

Palmer >>>>>>>>>Masten ;)

Absolutely no way that Hartlett will slip that low. But do agree with most of the picks.
Carlton will be over the moon with Ziebell as will Brisbane with Sidebottom.

yeh i wud have to agree. hartlett definatly comnes straight after rich wen it is sed about that best mids in the comp!! just because he had a fairly medioca championship people realli shudnt make guesses on him. hes played league footy for 2 years!!

I would be very surprised if Hartlett was available at 8 and we didnt pick him. It looks like one of Ziebell, Hartlett, Sidebottom will be available and that should be the player we take.

I think this early comparison is just about spot on. If Masten was able to play alot more this season, he'd have challenged Palmer for the RS. Think back to his first quarter against the bombers, something like 3 clearances and 11 disposals. Pretty exciting stuff.

Time will tell which one will be the better player. Foot skills are paramount, Palmer certainly lacks them.

Cornelius is very much available to be drafted this year - will go in the top 20.

Cheers HBF.. someone told me he was too young

But i will take your word.. Cornelious is the one with the gollywog yeah ? Played for Tassie in the champs..and if available..will definitley go top 20:thumbsu:
