Too bad it is not reporter Rucci soon to be out of contract and definitely preparing his last column for the Tiser.

Rucci may write a decent article one day, may but probably won't

Rucci may write crap articles most of the time, but at least he isn't blatantly pro-Crow unlike every other sports writer (unless you want to consider Browyn whats her name as a sports writer) on the advertiser/sunday mail's books.

Mr Rucci is an official Port Power ambassador,

Mr Rucci is to Port Adelaide what suzi olsen is to Hawthorn.

I dont believe you Port supporters are saying that about Rucci. Rucci is an obvious Port Supporter. He is so biased in his writing towards you it is unbelivable that they let him keep writting that dribble.

I didn't even know he was a power supporter, can't tell from his writings.

To tell you the truth before I read his writing I didn't know who he supported. Then I read an article he wrote and I asked someone does he go for Port and they said yes. I could just tell by his biaism. In his articles Port always seem to have more written about them. He always seems as if he's bagging the Crows for different things and Port get praised for everything. It's probably just because you were a port supporter that you didn't realise it. I mean if he went for the crows you probably would realise it more if you know what I mean. :)

I've seen him giving Port too many serves to call him a Port supporter. He especially bags the crap out of Port when his articles are going to be printed in the Herald Sun too.

He must have written that Fos Williams book out of the goodness of his heart

He might well call himself a Port supporter, Jars. I call him a weasel, because he doesn't back it up.

People have a go at Eddie because he is a blatant Collingwood supporter, and that surfaces in the way that he doesn't start malicious rumours about the club, or actively have a go at key players and the coach in the media.

Rucci has proven a great desire to have ago at Port's coaches (although Williams got an initial good treatment - Rucci mostly got stuck into Cahill), and loves to start up the rumours with a `may' and a `is believed to be'.

This is not the act of a supporter, but that of someone who values their career well ahead. Conflict of interest - Port loses.

I did'n't know he had articles in the herald sun. I think he's a try hard.

BTW that was an attempt to re write some of the english language. That word should be made a word because then we could use it all the time in footy.

Rucci is a well-known Port supporter but he doesn't do us that many favours with some of the things he writes/says on radio. He may look at it as being even handed towards all teams, i don't think this is the case. I think if he has half a lead he just jumps in and blurts it out in an attempt to prove his knowledge and sources are second to none (ie a try hard).

Not sure if it is just his public persona and whether he is different "behind closed doors" but most of the time he treats both SA clubs pretty evenly.

I know Chris Dittmar seems to be pretty unbiased when calling games or doing talkback on 5AA but have a chat to him one on one and he really is totally biased towards Port. Same goes for Bruce Abernethy.

Remember the Mick Moylan and Joh Cahill debacle, he mad Cahill out to look like a real tool, he is a little kid who chooses his favourite toys, he at least aint like Warren Partland etc who just thrive on bagging the one side. Anybody ever read that hits and misses section in Mondays Sports lift-out, If u have u weal realise Warren Partland is the biggest ****ing ********** on two legs.

I am often confused by Rucci. As someone else said or inferred he seems to increasingly writing for eastern states consumption, eg Herald Sun. The AAMI Park attendances for example.

Apparently he has been a club ambassador for some time, but you wouldn't know it. Would like to see him let everyone know who he follows, as many/most of the eastern state journos do.

I think Rucci is a crappy journalist - like most in the Advertiser - but can we expect him to be obviously pro-Port (or Crows) in his writing? After all journo's are supposed to at least give the perception that they are objective. All that parochial crap from the tiser is one reason why it's one of the worst papers in the country (along with all the other Murdoch tabloids). Just my opinion. The other thing is journo's are under constant pressure to churn out copy to fit around the advertisements. Another reason why we get much speculation, gossip and rumour and non-stories.

No fan of a club would use as much innuendo and start as many malicious remours as Rucci does about Port. You check any other journalist with an allegiance, and they'll not go so hard on their club, not being the first to put thoughts into people's heads about the coach being sacked, and so on. Rucci does all of those things, and as such, is about as believable a Port supporter as KG Cunningham.

Graham just hates Port. He's not smart or weaselly enough to start the sort of malicious rumours the club don't need like Rucci, and he doesn't stab the club in the back while claiming to be a supporter.
