Until the Government loses the confidence of the lower house, then there's nothing to be done.

The High Court is the ultimate arbiter as to who is eligible to sit in parliament and who is not. Until that process works it's way to a resolution, the circus rolls on.

It's a matter for interpretation anyway. The Coalition seem to think they have a case. I have my doubts. But it will be good to get some more case law on s.44
