Seriously, if you need to cul some roos-get a high-powered centrefire rifle-and do it quickly and cleanly. Don't spear em and leave em run around.

yeah but this wasn't even a culling thing..

it was a buch of human friendly kangaroos that hang around this golf course and let people come rigth up to them. they ar epart of the course.

i cant believe someone can do this sought of thing

and i cant believe the maximum penalty is a fine

Having to read another thread about animal cruelty feels like someone has given me the maximum penalty. This thread should be merged with the bashed pink flamingo thread, or better still, go to the flamingo thread and change the word flamingo to kangaroo. It will save 300 people the time of venting at this latest outrage.

I don't agree with the way it was killed, but they ruin golf courses and the like so if it done properly then it should be :thumbsu:

And seriously, what would you expect the penalty to be? Jail time for killing a kangaroo? I'd say a fine is pretty appropriate.

They had spears, and I can't imagine this death would be any nicer.

Also, you seem to be lacking a little in your knowledge of Aboriginal history. They sure did light a hell of a lot of bushfires. Not for this purpose, but still.

The problem with your argument is that the Aboriginals killed kangaroos for food, while this idiot attempted to kill one for pleasure.

While the aboroginals may have had less choice, these days there isn't much difference between killing something for food, and something for pleasure.

Meat isn't a nessecity, it's a luxury.

You kill for the taste, he kills for the thrill. Both unnessecary. *Shrugs*

did u watch the video you tosser...

they are a part of that golf course and get along well with the members

No one sees them as a pest they are almost like an attraction

yep if are gona be so cruel as to spear defenceless roos and let them die in agony u should spend some time in jail..that's exactly what i think

At my place meat is a nessecity, nothing like a 2" thick peice of road kill. HB sauce is a luxury.

not the pont if u do or don´t like kangaroos etc etc

the point is some prick using a spear gun to shoot them and let them suffer for days with a spear through them..
