Forums are filled with words.. no avoiding that.It can be whatever you want it to mean, but it's creation in 13 is not very complimentary to our Football club to say the least. In 13, it's all fair game... shouldn;t have to see it on our own board as it's only every used in a troll. It has no other useage....

But the term "Fremantled" on it's own doesn't offend me. It's not racist or sexist, etc. it's just dumb.

How do you avoid the word on an internet forum? By banning those who use it on the Freo board. It will then become a taboo.
By all means if people are intentionally trolling - card them. But everything is relative and part of the job of being a mod is to take things in context.

People who read and believe the words of Robert Walls use it. They are not necessarily attempting to slight the club; they are just reiterating inaccurate stereotypes in a misguided attempt to be clever or funny.

No one who uses the term Fremantled is providing anything of value so should be turfed IMO.

Well why don't we go down the Hawthorn mod route where this is interpreted as a subtle troll worth of a banning :- "I think Cyril Rioli is a good player".
Why not just ban everyone who posts here that doesn't have fremantle as their club, it is pretty much what the other boards do. Or how about you stop worrying about a "subtle troll" because everything is a subtle troll to someone, and worry about the actual trolls.

The trolling is not too bad here - I think the mods have a pretty good handle on it.
I don't mind the pinheads like Ferris etc coming on here - any using Fremantled is normally easy to pick apart anyway.

Offending posters will have their access to this Board removed, receive infraction points, and in some cases lose access to BigFooty."
If you use the word "Fremantled" which its meaning is quite clear to most of us it should result in the user being infracted. If not the Mods are ignoring the rules and giving the rules no authority.

Everyone must know when they starting replying or creating topics if what they are writing is going to 'touch the edges'.
It is most likely a nightmare being a mod and having to trawl through some of the garbage that gets served up on here (by trolls) without having to worry about established posters not being able to adhere to forum rules.
