Yes indeed, fake news.

Carlton fans will chose to disbelieve it. Non-Carlton fans will chose to believe it. Anybody who is expected to be a grown up in the room (AFL, etc) will presume innocence ...

... little wonder that the world is becoming so polarized.
Too true. Whilst people will always do dumb things, the idea of Thomas, an extremely experienced player, doing something even dumber than Sam Murray (ie. cocaine less than 48 hrs before a game) after the Sam Murray event, seems really really dumb.

Garry Lyon calling for Daisy never to be picked again is a bit over the top. Daisy's career > Garry's.

I don’t think the Dale Thomas incident has in any way turned the blowtorch down on Bolton or SOS. It’s probably turned it up if anything.
The attempt has been made by Carlton to demonstrate some sort of culture, at the expense of Daisy. Truth is, they are a cesspool of greed and incompetence.

TBH, I don’t think our club would have dealt with it much differently.

The difference is, we have a culture. They have less culture than Gold Coast.

True story: SEN interviewed Michael Lombardi this morning (excellent interview BTW), he’s a US based sports management guru. Deals mainly with NFL. The SEN folks described the Dale Thomas situation to him (“He plays for a team called Carlton ...”, Lombardi has no idea about AFL) and asked for his opinion about the situation. Lombardi said basically what you just did - Carlton must have poor culture.
