You should learn to be happy with our efforts MT, I honestly can't remember you being happy with any crowds that we have had. Infact, are you at all happy that we won? Or are the crowds more important?

I almost think you wouldn't be satisfied with 100,000 against Fremantle.. It should be 105,000.

Edit - I do understand your passion for our club, but be HAPPY for once... we have broken two records in two weeks, surely you can't be disappointed.

Well and truly the Tiger is stirring. Record attendances against two interstate sides can only say that Richmond people are awaking from a long slumber and getting involved with the club again. Looking forward to bumper crowds against the other Mlebourne-based clubs in years to come.

ur being way 2 generous AB, i had it at Tiges 33K and Freo 1k, we know they dont have many fans here at all and u could hardly hear them let alone see them, 1,090 freo fans maybe im being too kind, my initial estimate was 500 freo fans but thought id bump that figure to bout 1,000 and no way any more than that....

Crowd was going off right around the ground and after the game the grog squad too were making plenty of noise, 3 police just watching near by as hundreds of tigers fans singing and chanting as one

Let me put this in perspective for you.

Richmond in 10th drew 34,000. This is only the third time in history that Freo visiting Melbourne to play opposition outside the top 8 have drawn 30,000.

Carlton top 8 or bottom 8 have never drawn 30,000 to Freo.

Essendon's biggest crowd V Freo when not top 8 was 30,383 in 2005.

Only Collingwood with 34,416 in 2004 have EVER drawn 34,000 V Freo when not top 8.

Apart from Collingwood and arguably Essendon NO OTHER Melbourne club could have drawn that attendance when in 10th place. Carlton could get nowhere near.

We had only won back to back games but even with that RICHMOND ARE BACK IN THE BIG THREE.

Dreamtime crowd will be 90,000.

Out of interest, what does it cost to be a Tiges member??.....we pay $500 pa but thats getting a seat each fortnight.....pretty pricey..

I think all clubs are very similar with what they offer for a membership. There are memberships for different people and occasions. I get the Class A reserved seating and that costs me about $500 a season. The basic 11 home game general admission membership is $180 and I believe the 3 game memberships are about $70-80.

I think part of our massive attendence is not just because of winning a few games, but because we are one of the more exciting teams to watch as a specticle. When ever the ball is in the area of Reiwoldt, King, Nahas or Martin you know something flashy or exciting is going to happen.

I honestly though there was 30,000 there looking at the empty deck of the Southern stand. I expected that area to be full.

Well well well...Round 7 sees 10th placed Richmond at home to WA opposition draw more than 5th placed Essendon at home to WA opposition.

The situation is so serious that Dan 26 himself has commented. Apparently with 2 entire unexpurgated wins to our name we were "on a roll" so were not 10th at all and if we were top 4 would not hope to get a single person more through the gates. 2 whole wins and the bandwagon is 100% full.

Im Sorry to say this But I would be Very Surprised if you got 90,000 to the Dream Tie at the G! Somewhere between 80-85,000 would be more likely!

And to say the Richmnd are in the big Three is laughable when the big Three Australia wide is Collingwood, Essendon and Carlton! You guy's I believe have dropped down to either 4th or 5rth with Hawthorn. Remember they Drew 78,000 againts the Cats and there were easily 45,000 Hawthorn fans at that game! In reality with Richmond and Hawthorn winning there aint much difference!

But I Wont to see Richmod flying for me to really judge to sse if they are more popular then the Hawks but at the moment I think the Hawks have marginally a bigger fanbase.

Carlton couldn't sell 46,000 memberships coming off a basement year....nowhere near it. Indeed they can't come close to it coming off successive finals which rather proves the point.......Essendon can and have , Richmond can and have and Collingwood could though haven't...no other club has ever done so or could do so.
