How about if we just kept the flag as it is, with the southern cross (eureka will never get in as it comes across as a very paty-partizan flag) and the Union Jack.

BUT

Take away the red white and blue of the Jack, and replace with the Black, yellow and red of the Aboriginal flag. That way it recognises our unquestionably british heritage, and our rising awareness of the significance of the INdigenous heritage of the land?

Crikey I'm on form today.

FYI I can't stay away - my new resolution is to only post one thought per thread, and avoid getting into argument and debate, as that sucks the time out. AND it is just a time issue, I don;t mid the debates at all:)
You retired, so ******** off. Or was that just more of your typical self indugent, attention seeking crap?

On my earlier idea - how about half the jack is traditional, and hald is Aboriginal colours? I think this would be quite a striking, yet subtle, difference. regardles what people say, you would have to be blind freddy to not realise it was the union jack.

I wish I was a photo edit guru and I'd make one up and post it!!
Gee it would nearly look like a crows top :p

Why do we have to have the aboriginal flag? Is anything of the Australian flag on theirs?

I never ever quoted that you complete tool. Go back under your rock masturbating over your picture of Howard and Bush.

Try and get your facts right next time.

No, definitely not.

The Yanks (even though I don't like them much) have a great deal of tradition in everything they do. They don't go mucking around changing their flag nor national anthem.

We on the other hand don't have as much tradition and the only way to get it is by starting off with flag and national anthem staying as is.

Yes yes Otaku, we all know you don't want to change the flag, and that no design would please you.
Bollocks - I am all for changing the flag - if we have a need for it. And so long as it symbolises Australia.

Why would we want a rainbow of colours on our flag? It would look shytehouse.

Mr Q's design is simple, straightforward and reasonable.

If (and, I hope, when) we become a republic, we will adopt something like that.

Just because I reckon your designs suck arse, doesnt mean I am against the concept of changing the flag.
