Instead of
"You have the right to bare arms SO YOU CAN SHOOT THE GOVERNMENT YEE HAW LETS ALL HAVE WEAPONS!"

Yes, and people who use them for that would be able to have them.
Joe Blogs wouldnt be able to wander down to his local gun store and pick one up for personal defense or shooting cans on the weekend for shits and giggles.

Buy back amnesty then confiscate if found. Reward snitching. What good would be having the AR gun if you can’t show it off? If they are hidden and never seen then they aren’t being used.Just make them illegal and they all disappear
Oh and 10000% bullet tax with exemption for farmers/ rural need pest control.

In a clumsy way I think he is trying to make a point about how hard it would be to get the wording right of the amendment.
I would word it
“You have a right to apply to bear arms for personal defence or recreation but this is subject to limitation by what federal and state law deems reasonable. In general this will limit use to non automatic handguns and rifles. There will be a permit system administered by the government”
20 million + AR based firearms in a buyback.What about the AK based?

Makes sense - their hearts are broken so much, that they no longer function.

So you're confident the people in America, right now, could flip the tables on the highest budget military in the entire world?
No, that would take most of the entire population to be armed and working in unison, which would never happen. If there was an uprising it would be group(s) of isolated militia who could be identified and targeted.

What does the average American need to defend himself from? People breaking in with AR-15s with armor piercing rounds and body armor?
Suggest you would want to reevaluate your society or your social circles that were the case
