Now you are failing to distinguish the difference between a protester and rioter.

It's strange they are happy with the government stepping in to crack down on only certain violent things, yet any mention of curtailing gun violence has people screaming "second ammendment" and "personal rights".

It's a strange, strange culture over there.

While I don't agree with the violence of certain people in the protest turning it into a riot (funny enough it's the anarchists and white supremists fuelling some of this), they are still standing up to a government that once had it in their constitution that slavery was acceptable. Shows the constitution can be changed with the right motivation.

Isn't that kinda the point of this thread? People are calling for an end to gun violence against all ethnicities. What skin colour they are is irrelevant, no civilian should have the ready access to shoot each other.

Yet you still have people who get upset when you say they shouldn't own a smoke grenade launcher and won't give you an answer when you ask for what purpose they would ever use one.

It’s a pretty complex solution to this - to disarm would be making access to guns harder and more expensive.

It would result in a lot of people with existing criminal records having their vehicles searched for firearms when they are stopped.

I wouldn't want home searched.

They already have access to the guns, they've already got them.
