The Age is at it again today : a story by Tim Lane saying how North should relocate to Tasmania, because that would work so much better than the gold coast. We could wear blue & white for games in melbourne, green & gold for games in Tassie, and it would be so convenient for Melbourne-based fans to travel to Tassie to watch games there.

As was pointed out to me recently, the only teams that have become extinct are the ones who have moved out of Victoria. Also was told that every member of our new board is a friend of our great AFL boss. Information also is that we will have 11 games here and 11 at Carrera and we will not have to travel anywhere else Interstate, the pot will be sweetened for WA and Adelaide teams who will not be happy at first. If you think that having the 11 games home here is a great outcome then that was exactly how I felt until I was told that the games here will be the away games and the ones up in Queensland will be the home games. We will be called the Northern Kangaroos and eventually we will move the team up there permanently. Thats the plan and as far as I am concerned we will be the only ones (the Real members )who can stop it, we are going to have to stand up and fight to the end.

This is a tidy outline statement that only needs to be addressed to the former members of supporters we have out there. The game is relatively cheap to attend and enjoyable past time that gives us alot to talk about and celebrate together. With the re-development of Arden Street, WE URGE YOU KEEP the CLUB in your HEART, it needs the supporter circulation and the passion comes naturally. Don't let us bleed to SEQ. That is what kinda of message I'd hope the club sends quickly. Thanx Daphne.

Anyone who knows me on this board knows that I hate any such gossip and am the first to say. This little bit of information was given to a relation who stayed on and was drinking with the board members last Wed night and they thought he had been standing for one of the positions (as he said you would think they would know who they were standing against) and this all came from the mouth of one of the newly elected board members. I cant prove it or show you any facts but I can tell you that that was the info given to him. I would hesitate to say I suppose that we will have to wait and see, all I can say is that if that is what is put forward then we will know that it has been in the pipeline for a long time

A classic FOAF tale then. No direct evidence but someone swearing black and blue that it really happened. A don't doubt your authenticity Daphne, but I have studied enough on this phenomenon to recognise an urban myth at 500 paces.

No-one doubts your passion, and you can think what you like about this post, but have some respect. Daphne was on this board longer than most of the current posters - if she doesn't come here as often these days, that's her business and frankly a shame for the board. She and her family have also been around this club for a very long time.

I'm not talking as a mod but as a longtime poster here. There are people who have given a lot to the club and to this board who aren't necessarily familiar names to everyone here, so we might be careful who we pot for being a fly-in.

I know you've been on this board for only the last couple of months, but Daphne has been here pretty much since the board started (and I miss her stories about her tormenting her Essendon supporting husband ). I've met her at the footy many times, and I can vouch for the fact that she bleeds North Melbourne and she would never post this kind of comment just to take a cheap shot at the club.

I have never popped in here with a scoop kangalover and I hate gossip. I have no reason to come in here with anything that I dont think has some truth to it, I cant tell you how much that I hope none of thiis is true, in fact I am like you i dont believe anything unless I hear it myself. But I can tell you that the source I got this from is not happy with what was said to him and he certainly was drinking with them after the meeting. Like I said before I am not going to defend myself anymore and I like you hope that thuings take a turn before this becomes reality. Also just because I dont have a lot to say in here anymore doesnt mean that I dont read the posts and take an interest in the ones who know what they are talking about
