From what i read in the papers, Cox is likely to play in the ruck as Gardiner is serving a suspension and turnball is being rested as a precaution to an injury.

Merenda, Sierakowski and Wilson are going to make up the new forward line. McDouggal and Kerr are also going to be included in the squad.

Players difinately not going to play are Jakovich, Gardiner, Prior, Turnball, Phil Matera, Cummings, Taylor, Collica and Braun.

Thats all i can remember, but Read, Roo and wirrpunda are in spectacular form and the eagles have a very good chance of winning(in my opinion). Especially considering Nth lost bell and are without Carey.

I think we will lose we dont seem to have much scoring power, but with Carey out the Roos are pretty much nothing

Can anyone tell me who else isnt playing for them?

Daddy - I'm fairly sure by Round 1, all those player's injuries will suddenly disappear. Ben Cousins for one is definately being rested for the first 2 rounds of the Ansett Cup. They are just resting more of the established players until the real thing starts.

I have never posted on another clubs board, but I just had to say, I thought I was hearing things when I heard a report that you will start the season with 22 injuries. Best to get them early on I suppose.

70% are really minor injuries, if it was the real season they wouldn't even be put up as injuries. Just don't want anyone to get injured really so they are resting anyone with the tiniest of niggle. CARN THE EAGLES

Sabre didnt you read above. Were resting them no excuses are going to be neccessary cos were gonna whoop the Kangas butts!

And besides it goes both ways, if we lose we'll say we didnt have cuz and jako and so on and if they they'll say yeah but we didnt have Carey.

It dont matter though. Victory No1 for the year.
