Carlton have won two in convincing form, and are in the next round already. Port will need to beat them and Fremantle by some 100 plus points to overtake.

Saturday will have The winners of Sydney v Kangaroos, Essendon v Bulldogs and St Kilda v Melbourne almost certain to qualify for the next round. All the other games and all next weeks games will be practice only

Perhaps Eagles v Hawks and Adelaide v geelong may have a bit of interest as coaches (Judge and Ayres) take on their old sides

I keep hearing this fallacy about Carlton being through to the semis already. If Port beat Freo this week they will also have two wins from two and the Port-Carlton game will be a quarter final. Percentages won't mean anything (unless they draw). And seeing that the game is at Football Park, Carlton are no certainties.
