If a player is reported and found guilty in an Ansett Cup game, are they still eligible for the Brownlow?

Benny Cousins has been reported for wrestling, and will probably plead guilty (that what Eagles do!), but he does attract Brownlow votes, and therefore is always a chance.

I'm hoping that a fine for wrestling won't spoil that.
