He's a monster. Will be interesting if they can get the right players around him and he can win some championships.

I'm assuming that the real reason LeBron only signed for 2 seasons is so he can join up with AD.

It's funny because it's probably true. He is desperate to get more than MJ. First it was Wade and Bosh, now it's Kyrie and Love. Next it will be AD. He is like a ring whore. Kinda like a really good Robert Horry.

The way they under use him borders on abuse.

Only two games so far, but his usage rate is up by 4.4% in the playoffs (32.2%) so far compared to the regular season (27.8%)...

Skip Bayless was stupidly ripping into Davis on 'First Take' yesterday for "not living up to expectations" so far in the playoffs. Nevermind that he's only 22, in his first playoff series, against two of the best big defenders in the game (Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut) and is averaging 30 in the playoffs so far, on good percentages, and getting to the line 9 times a game:

He's been good. Not great, but like you said he's 22 and surrounded by mediocre players, playing against the best defensive team in the business, so no one should be getting worried.

This year should have just been seen as a bonus for him. No one expects them to win and it's all about getting some experience.

They are crazy. He had a bad second half. He dragged the Pels into the playoffs in a ridiculously tough Western Conference. Not to mention dicking on the Spurs in the crucial last game of the season they needed to win to make the playoffs. He is 22, has mediocre teammates and playing the best team in the league who are also the best defensive team in the league.

Give the kid a break. He is the best player in the league in wait.

He's been outstanding so far in my opinion.

They are playing the best team in the comp, and more importantly the best defensive team in the comp. Golden State know they really only have to stop him to sweep this series, and yet he's still the only thing that's giving the Pellies a sniff.

He may not be dominating for as long a stretches as he does normally, but he's still trying to find ways to keep them in it.

From Grantland (J-Rose): Only 3 other guys have had a better PER than AD this season... MJ, LeBron, Wilt.

Not really sure what more he could have done individually in his first playoff series, against the best team in the league, and two of the best big defenders in basketball:

43.0 mpg, 31.5 ppg (.540 FG%, .889 FT%, .613 USG%, 30.8 USG%), 21.8 FGApg, 9.0 FTApg, 11.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.3 spg, 3.0 bpg, 3.3 tpg, 3.0 fpg, 28.0 PER

Also just to follow up on something I wrote earlier this season. AD has managed to become just the 9th player in NBA history to record a PER of plus 30 over a single season.

He managed to average 30.8 to join the following.

Wilt Chamberlain
Michael Jordan
LeBron James
Shaquille O'Neal
David Robinson
Chris Paul
Tracy McGrady
Dwayne Wade
Anthony Davis
