End of the 1st Morabito video posted was better :)

I know you're trolling Brades. You're desperate for pretty flanker types to fill the club's list.
lol. Not really.. I consider myself a good eye for talent and Lucas has more potential as a footballer than Morabito because he has the better kick and decision making than Morabito, who looks like a Naita midfielder.

I tend to agree. From all of the Morabito video's I get the impression he's very outside, and will end up more a Paul Bower or Michael Johnson type. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course, but I just can't see him as a midfielder in the AFL.

His disposal does look average at best too.

The only thing that concerns me about Morabito is his kicking, when it is his turn to win the footy on the inside he always delivers.

Has the pace to carry the ball on the outside which isnt an issue.

Modern game requires precison kicking. Not sure his kicking is anything more than B grade.

Deadset reminds me of Matt Rosa with his kicking.

Mundy ... interested to know what your preferences would be for our pick 4 assuming Scully and Trengove are definitely off the board ?

Didn't sound all there when interviewed on the news tonight.

Bit of an introvert, have heard him speak a few times after colts presentations and he says very little, what he does say comes across poorly.

Without knowing him properly I'd say he's very shy and not the brightest spark, but those are secondary considerations. Ability to play comes first.

I dont know much about any of these young guys, but from what I have seen on youtube etc, Morabito kinda reminds me of Dessie. (Raincoat on)
Does any one else see any similarities?

I hope he's not - if we get him - I just get this feeling that he will be a big impact player that doesnt impact enough (see Des)

Does he work hard enough?

Seeing clips of Hill after we took him, I thought he looked a bit like Des in the way he moved around the ball and went for goal when it was time to take the shot. What you don't see in highlights clips is what they do when they don't have the ball. That's Des's biggest flaw - he just walks or spectates waiting for the ball to come to him. Hill doesn't have that. Not sure on Morabito.

And that is the exact problem with judging players based on these highlight packages. The essentially compress a whole seasons of football into 2 minutes and they are merely the highlights that the package creator has access to or particularly likes.

Just last week supporters on this forum were going crazy over Majak Daw without realising that the package was made primarily of highlights from a very low level. You also don't see how he works off the ball, what his opponent is doing, his footy smarts etc.

I could make 2 highlights packages, one of Adam Goodes and one of Brent Staker. A person viewing them for the first time would comment how unbelievable they both are when in reality, Goodes is a superstar and Staker is a crab who can pull off the odd spectacular moment.

I don't bother getting too wrapped up in these sorts of threads comparing players based on highlights packages, it's absurd.

How many here have watched him week in week out?

Unfortunately, he's only played the Swans once this year in Round 3 for 17 touches. He didn't really catch my eye but I wasn't focusing on him at that early stage.

how many games he has played this year - league?

Is his rep based on his games at the champs?

If he's been injured fair enough - but geez theres Lucas who has been regularly in the best for easts. - who is a neat kick.

I'm not saying either way, but last year we took someone on potential (which paid off) there was another small guy with small arms who was regularly in the bests for subi who's doing pretty well at the moment.

Personally, I think we need players that are smart but most importantly as the name suggests can kick the "foot ball"

Only seen Morabito twice.. both times on the box.. 1 for Peel and the telecast WA u/18's game

Was pretty impressive in both of those games.. altho WA were quite dominant for alot of that game so doesnt really give a good indication.

But the Peel game earlier i thought he was easily the standout younger player on the ground and one of the best overall.. great use of the ball, run and carry and awesome build for a young player.

Having said all of that i wouldnt mind Lucas either.. i think its win/win tbh.. please not Butcher tho :D
