Haven't heard a thing about this guy for quite some time. We took him as one of the last picks in the 04 draft since he was expected to go very low the year later. History has shown that injury has plagued him for most of the time his been at carlton and im curious to know if he is over it and playing decent footy in the vfl or ressies? Is he a chance to get a senior call up late this year?

Doubt it. Will need a massive reversal in form. Is always the first to get dropped back to the Bullants reserves when players come in and frankly according to most has shown very little to date.

Will be very lucky to still be on our list at the end of the year. Might be re-drafted as a rookie if the club assesses that there is nothing better on offer.

Yes- to the senior VFL side. One would think that if he struggles to play VFL seniors he will have little hope of making to AFL seniors.

Saw him play on Sunday with the Bullants reserves, and whilst he uses the ball well, looked extremely slow chasing after the ball out on the flank near the Bullants race. I'd imagine he'd be one of the first delisted at seasons end. If he can't even get a game with the Senior Bullants team, then he's got no chance of getting close to the Carlton team.

Disappointing to see a project player go down which should by no means be a deterrent for future moves like this. Raines and Pearce is reason enough to give our last pick to a bottom age player and develop him like crazy. Hopefully he shows something to at least be rookied again.

Get rid of him, no time for people who show zero in 3 years on the list. Carlton need to chop some younger guys at the end of this year to send a message.

Given the other young, tall flanker-type, that alone would seal his fate.
Like the romance of the late pick too...but we have done alright with a few others...O'Hailpin brothers most recently.

Unfortunately he hasn't showed enough to be kept on the senior list I don't think.

Would like to see us put him on the rookie list, though.

I'm sorry, but if this kid can't even get a game for the Northern Bullants seniors there is no way in the world he should be on our list or even rookie list next year.

It was a low risk move drafting him at pick 72 or whatever it was. The upside was huge given he was talked up as a possible top 10 pick in 2005. Didn't work out so we move on, should not discourage us from tyring the same thing again in the future.

i knew from the day he was drafted he wasnt ever going to make it. went to the same school as him and also seen him play quite a bit. he is way too soft:p and will never make in the A.F.L. if he ever does make to the Seniors im sure he will have a box tissues next to him.

I used to go to primary school with Adam McPhee and he used to cry when the team he played for didn't win. I read an article recently that suggested that Andrew Walker was much the same in his younger years. I think its about being so competitive that they just have to win at everything they do. I don't think that makes them soft.

Raso is an interesting one. I remember watching him doing some running before an interclub match at the start of the year, he had a tendon injury that stopped him from playing, and being extremely disappointed to see that after two years on the list he was still an extremely skinny. At this point given the lack of available spots on our list it might be off to the rookie list for Raso. I'd be dispppointed if we didn't rookie him because I think we owe him that much at least after we prematurely picking him up in the draft.

We owe him nothing. He has been handed a golden opportunity that others would kill for. The fact that after two years he is still skinny is a joke. He has quality facilities, dieticians, weights/fitness coaches who can all assist him in bulking up.

The kid should have been locked in the gym 24/7 when he was injured and couldn't run.

I'd much rather rookie the best players available than some bloke who had his chance and didn't take it with both hands. Two years is plenty of time.

Whats your problem, Half_eaten-pasties?

Leave the poor guy alone, i bet your just jealous 'cos you never made it to the AFL!

Yes Raso was always a bit of a softy at school, but Half_eaten-pasties was a massive nerd, big glasses and teachers pet

Look at what happened with Mil Hanna after he did his knee in his first season for the blues... spent all the time in the gym working on bulking himself up and he came out a big lad...

2 years and still skinny is taking the piss a bit
