In all seriousness, A. Rocca is an impact player of some quality, but his fitness and endurance levels seem to be far short of what is required for the AFL these days.
If he does go on the open market, I honestly cannot see him costing an interested club too much.

NICKY DAVIS KICKS ASS!!!
GO THE MIGHTY PIES!!

I'll trade you Tony Delany for him plus a Six pack of Crown Lager and a few T Bone steaks.

Malcolm, I'll beat your offer with a packet of cheese twisties and a used asthma puffer.

Seriously though, Rocca is a handy player, but seems unlikely to fulfil his potential while his fitness concerns linger. A bloke looking stuffed after five minutes on the ground is not a good thing.
He is a good long kick (although sometimes not so accurate), but doesn't take enough marks to rate with the top CHFs like Carey, Whitnall, Holland, and Loewe (before he got old).
Handy player, can be versatile, so I think Collingwood can still get value from him staying there. Alternatively, he might be worth a top 30 pick in the draft, if traded.

Anthony Rocca is definatly not playing good football at the moment but has the ability to be a good footballer,he has the height, the long kicking(whatever u may call that)and the ability to get up there and mark the ball i just think that he needs help improving in those areas then he might turn out the great player that he has the talent to be.

But if his for sale then hell...i'll buy him!!!LOL

He would be best suited to a kinda 'pinch-hitter' role coming off the bench for 5-10 minute bursts.

But what club in their right mind would be prepared to spend money on a guy who is good in bursts and freakken uselss the rest of the time ?

Not many clubs can afford the luxury of having a player like A Rocca in their squad, the value for money just isn't there at the moment.

cheers

I think he will improve with more game-time and less pizzas.

If he doesn't, he would still fetch a top 20 draft pick on the market. We have had the best drafting record over the past two years and I think it would be wise to consolidate the immense quality of our draftees with equally gifted footballers.

I think we should also trade Licuria. Very good player, but with below par finishing skills. He would fetch two top 30 picks and allow us to find comparably skilled players to Tarrant, Fraser, Didak, Lonie, Lockyer etc.

That combined with the fact that we need a serious CHF (Pavlich, Riewoldt etc.), leads me to hope that the Pies chase as many top 20 picks they can get and stops chasing these marquee duds like Gerhig and Colbert! Give someone else our duds I say!!!
