If you could pick 2 sides of any Era to sit back and watch play against each other what would you wanna see?

Personally I'd love to see the Hawks of the late 80s up against the Lions of 03. It would be the most brutal blood bath of all time mixed in with the pure skill of the eras as well

In order;

Hawks 88/89 v Bombers 00
Hawks 88/89v Lions of 01
Hawks 88/89 v Cats of 07
Carlton 95 v Bombers 00

I'd also like to see how the teams of 00,03,07 would fair up against one another.

Some lesser discussed match ups;

Hawks 83 v Kangaroos 96
Eagles 94 v Crows 98
Swans 05 v Hawks 14
Bombers 93 v Hawks 08

I reckon it'd be pretty hard to compare these different eras in our game, but feel that from a skill perspective it'd be interesting.

Carlton 79-82 v anyone !!
ha ha, pretty much this without Percy Jones as coach.

My two favourites teams over the years to enjoy watching have been those teams and the Lions teams of early 2000's.
Southby, Perovic and Doull as spine of our backline v Mal Michael, Leppitsch and Daryl White
Gun small in back half of Wayne Harmes and Chris Johnson
Gun small forwards of Wayne Johnston, Catoggio and Marcou v Akermanis and McRae
Gun mids of Rod Ashman, Jimmy Buckley, Ken Sheldon, Greg Wells, Phil Maylin and David Glascott against Lions of Voss, Black, Lappin, Power and Hart
Forward targets of Brown, Lynch and Bradshaw v Maclure, Ditchburn, Bosustow and McKay
Versatile talents at both ends of Ken Hunter and Peter McConville v Notting and Copeland
Rucks divisions of Fitzpatrick and Wow Jones v Clark Keating and Beau McDonald
Foot soldiers of Des English, Robert Klomp, Curly Austin, Bortolotto, Scott Howell, David Clarke and Marchesani v Ashcroft, Pike and the Scott twins

These teams had it all and essentially 3 premierships each with very exciting brand of football at all ends and middles of the ground.

95 Blues vs 00 Bombers

Lets ******* settle this already
We all know Earl Spalding cleans up golden boy James Hird in second quarter like he did to Guy McKenna and the halo comes off Hird head and never gets back on again. Game over right there and we go on to win by 10 goals.
