Any game designers here wanting to share their projects?

Im currently working on a tennis game. Players get attributes (like "missile" serve, "wall" return, "machine" rally, "volley" specialist, "grass" specialist) and the points are determined by the roll of three dice and cross-reading the outcome on a chart and the attributes on a player's card. There is also considerations for player endurance, their tendency to be clutch ("fighter" - think Nadal v "tanker" - think Tomic).

Is it just stats card and dice? Or do you get more cards to play?

I have been fooling around with a dice-based footy game, but AFL isn't an easy one to mimic. Basically you can move the ball between positions and longer passes are harder rolls. Compare attacker to defender at that position on the field along with the dice roll and the ball has moved. But that would take far too long to play.

For an AFL board game I reckon if you could come up with a real time element it might mimic the frenetic pace of today's game.

As you get closer to goal it's harder to score, opposition is trying to roll an easier number... then you lose possession and you're trying to catch up. ... maybe?

Not sure how players could be modifiers? Otherwise it could be a card based of positions where the oppo is trying to guess your next move... with less available moves closer to goal.

I've started (very, very early days, nothing more than a spreadsheet and a word doc) on a card/board game. Working towards nailing all the mechanics of it before building a paper prototype, at the moment it's a solo project, but I'd be keen to collaborate and make it a shared project if anyone is interested.

Put them in a Dropbox and share the link. I’d be interested to read what you’ve got.
