Any good Aussies

This is one primarily for the Irish posters.

Having viewed the IR series what Aussie players do you reckon would make good gaelic players and vice versa.

Giles i reckon would make a good running half back flank.

Aussie players

Still hangin around here ...

The stand-out Aussie player for me was Nathan Brown. He has everything, speed, strength, guts and excellent skill – kicking points (overs) from anywhere. I was impresed with Pavlich too and Kellaway was a big success in goals – I gather he has some soccer goalkeeping experience?

And I’d have to mention Brad Scott for his impressive right hook. He has umwittingly done a favour to Graham Geraghty. Graham is a hero in my team, Meath and one of the most skilful and fairest players of his generation, but believed by the rest of Ireland to be the reincarnation of Jack the Ripper and as popular as Saddam Hussein. Brad has now taken away from him the mantle of most vilified player in football.

I'd still pick Michael "Magic" O'Loughlin who was outstanding in 2000 series.

Nathan Brown would be a star in gaelic football while Darcy would also do well.

Nathan Buckley is a natural at the round ball.

I reckon a team made up of Aboriginal players would be amazing - they are generally the gun players in Aussie Rules teams .. and with names like O'Loughlin, Burns and McLeod, should blend in well.

Don't forget ol' Jason Akermanis - a little volatile but really suited the pace of the game

Matthew Lloyd would make a great full forward (in Gaelic I mean)

Dunno bout Darcy, he is a great player in aussie rules, but I just thought he was a little bit too tall for international rules and didn't have the affect that he would in our game.

But his six pointer was brilliant I thought, fantastic skill.

Agree. Its more of a running game then taking big tall grabs.
