Any news on the assistant coaches??

Top stuff.

Kenny was always one of my favourit players and always seemed the 'intelligent' although when Bomber said, "Ken has enjoyed success in all of his coaching roles" he obviously wasn't thinking of St Kilda. Daryn was a great footballer, whether he'll be a great coach is another matter, but I think he'll be a fine addition. Better to get a star who wants to try his hand at coaching as opposed to someone who'll never go any further.

Just wonder who he will follow around and obey at Geelong. He'd be like having a pet dog with you. Always there, following his master and ready with a lick on command. I was amazed that he just blindly followed what Blight did when he was with us at St.Kilda. When Burke did his knee in 2001, not one member of the coaching staff visited him in hospital. When Blight did not attend training, neither did Hinkley. Bomber Thompson has just scored himself a pet dog for the footy season.

What number where you Joffaboy? I assume you were a StK player at the time.
How the hell would you know how many times he attended training? Or if he was any good?
You tell us he's a sheep dog and hint he was no initiative yet 95% of his coaching experience is as a senior coach.
Also the term 'assistant coach' kinda lends itself to Kenny following the wishes of the senior coach. How many rebel assistant coaches are out there? None.

All i wrote was fact. Hinkley was Blights lapdog, and will be Thompsons. he will be disasterous, but then again it is only Geelong. If you think he will help you by all means go for him, the rest of us will just watch in amusement.

Can guarantee that Geelong will pass him over for the senior position if Bomber falls over. They would be that stupid, would they.

Perhaps Ken Hinkley will put more effort into this role, seeing as he played for the club, and would have a passion for the GFC doing well.

Rightttt
Another quality post. I would think you'd have your own coaching problems to look after. Oh but I forgot it's only StK Hahaha  (isn't that how it goes  )
Like I said before 'What number were you?' You seem to know it all. Maybe you should look up the word FACT. Then go across and find the words RUMOUR, SPECULATION and INNUENDO and compare the lot.

I love it how Saints FANS slam Blight and all the things associated with his time at StKilda yet those problems didn't seem to be around when he was in charge of Geelong or Adelaide. Is that a coincidence?

I can understand how you would be a bit bitter about Kenny. I don't think anybody was too impressed about the Blight period at St Kilda. And Kenny, who was in first senior coaching position, could well have been very subservient to the man who had coached him through most of his VFL/AFL and had enabled him to enjoy the success he had received as a player.

But Kenny now has more experience and is no longer in Blight's shadow. He is no longer the novice assistant. I can't see him kow-towing to Bomber in quite the same way that he might have to Blight.

You're right,it's only Geelong.
Would that be the same "it's only Geelong" who beat the supposedly "Super" Saints in rd22 ?

Perhaps you should worry about your own backyard before peaking into others.

Why would Hinkley stick around a **** hole like Moorabin Oval ?
That's the club the was stupid enough to throw bucket loads of money at Blight, despite Blight saying he was "retired".

Geelong has gone on a spending spree and landed another two off field signings.

Stephen Hocking has accepted a role on the match commitee.

while Adrian Fletcher is our new forward scout coach.

Steven Hocking will be good on the match committee but what exactly does a forward scout coach do??

yeah their job is to go to the game of the team we are playing next week and analyse their strategies. .

I think this is great having all these players back at the club. Just has success written all over it.

Hopefully
