I hope you're right - I really do.

But that spineless gutless lack of effort against Geelong has gutted me of any faith. We got belted by a bunch of scrubbers who really tried.

As I said, get the plough out!!! ;)

I agree we should have an advantage in the midfield, but our forward structure is in disarray without Mark Stevens. Must have an even contribution & no passengers if we are a chance of winning. Also, concerned as to whether Roo is over his virus as it could offset part of their loss of Carr.

True that... I'd love to see Burton at FF and Perrie at CHF with Scott Stevens in a pocket and Johncock and Bode crumbing...

We have to try something new, because clearly our forward line is in disarray as you say.

Can you please tell me how do we have advantage in the midfield??????

Roo is in decent form
McLeod is coming off his worst game ever and is playing his footy off HBF and when moved in the midfield he struggles
Stenglein has some decent form
Burton gets a LOT of possesions but he burns it 70% of the time.
Gallagher is OK but a number of Port's lesser brigade are playing as well if not better
Doughty see Gallagher
Bode is a bloody yo yo and you never know what you will get but his form of late is nothing to get excited about.

K. Cornes, Wilson, Burgoyne and Kingsley are in very good form and are supported byu some promising youngsters and negating players.

We have better names in our midfield but those names are not playing anywhere near their best so those names mean bugger all on their current form.

The kind of plough that cut its teeth at Whitten Oval may well be at West Lakes next year. :D

He's definitely thrown his hat into the ring already.

I'm assuming we'll find our heart and come out firing. We have to. There's no other option. Careers depend on it.

I hope you are right but I don't like what I am seeing so far this year. To me this is 1996 all over again. Hopefully this time around we keep our picks and get some good talent with them.

With the possible exception of Goodwin those guys are not in the same league as the Port "outs".

Port just has better depth to cover the injured players.

Yeah Benny Hart is not in the same league as not to many of the Port outs are dual premiership & multiple All-Australian winners! Come back when you know something about football.

Last time I check, Carey had similar credentials....but we all know what many on this board think about him at the moment!

Are you saying Ben Hart has gone down hill like Carey?

...of course not, that would be clearly false. But, to use attributes for a player as justification for their quality, when they were acheived some 6-7 years ago, is equally clearly flawed!

Port should win, Crows should lose, but $3.30 is over the odds.
If you bet over the odds often enough you will soon be in front and stay in front.
Damn, can I do it? Is it treason?
Lost 50 on Richmond scoring the first point of the game only 2 weeks ago when I thought that was over the odds as well.
I'm so confused. :( :p
