Anyone been getting the Videos out?

Im mean just glued to the TV set for the last few weeks as the season proper draws nearer?
Of course over the summer the vids have been given a bit of a going over, but just over the last two weeks or so all ive been doing is reliving old glorys.
Guess when you start to get a taste of it through stuff like the Ansett cup your need for more takes over.

Hell im even looking forward to fridays game, just because its going to be a
real game for the four points.

Ahh, thanks to the gods that the summer of 2000/2001 is now officialy DEAD!

WEll this summer ive watched the following videos:
77,88,89,90,92,94,95,96,98,99 SANFL grand finals
96 SANFL preliminary final, 97 SANFL 2nd semi final
Port v Carlton last year (footy park)
Port v Richmond last year (footy park)
Port v Western Bulldogs last yaer (footy park)
2nd Showdown of last year
and two of hte Ansett Cup Port games!!
And a whole shitload of sports highlites tapes from years ago!

Optus Vision show a great match from the past every week. Last week it was the Fitzroy vs Essendon elimination final from 1996. This week it was the epic West Coast vs Carlton round 21 match from 1995.

They also showed the 1973 preliminary final between Richmond and Collingwood, where the Tigers overcame a 30 point deficit to win the game and eventually the premiership.

I've also watched a heap of old Bomber videos, but most of them have been matches or highlights from this past season. On Optus they had a weekly show called "YEAR OF THE BOMBER" where they showed one full match from Essendons 2000 season.

I've also watched a few old footy marathons which I tape from year to year. The last quarter of the 1984 Grand Final always gets a good workout! Remember that one Grendel?

Gotta admit i gave the 'Back To Back Pack 84/85 Premiers' a run a couple weeks back.
I also watched last years Qualifying Final demolition job on North. Can't wait for Friday night. Everything will be 'normal' again. Bring it on!

I've been watching the 97 and 98 prelim. and grand finals, ahhh, so many memories. I also viewed the grand final parades from both years, Talking Footy Grand Final edition 98 and the Grand Final Footy Marathon from 97,98. I too am actually excited about this Friday night's game, finally a proper game, should be a ripper!!! Let's get it on.

Each of our three finals games about 10 times each.
The destructions of: St Kilda, Freo, Richmond, Port, Brisbane, Geelong & collingwood a few times.

THAT round 20 game a few times.

also the 84 GF again, and the 96 semi vs west coast again & 93 prelim against adelaide again.

so glad footy is almost back.
