I do agree that most 'experts' had Geelong in the top-4, but I don't think that most had Collingwood in the bottom 4, although some did though. I can think of one that said in November that Collingwood could win the flag, and another that was and still is convinced that Collingwood will finish top-4. The bookmakers pre-season also had Collingwood on about the 10th line of betting, while Geelong were flag favourites only a few weeks ago.

That said, I agree that Geelong should be favourites this week because of pre-season expectations, and they would have penciled this match in for a win when the fixture was released. The pressure is on Geelong to win this week for sure.
