Maybe I do, but not enough to suggest you, or anyone else, is any less of a crows supporter simply because they don't agree with said complex.

You have again decided to ignore the reasons I gave you.

Why dont you start a poll, one simple question who is our arch enemy? When that proves to be Port, wouldnt it be fear to assume the majority of Crows supporters do not want to see them successful, so why do you?

You've either ignored the entire ****ing question, or you're batshit insane.

You listed your reasons as to why it's acceptable abuse.
I then abused you for equally petty reasons
You said it wasn't acceptable.

I think Drummond, ST, Roosterlad, myself and Crow Envy have all given you decent reasons, you just don't agree with them for some weird reason.

You're a Crows fan barracking for Port Power and hoping they win the GF, I know you're not keen on the whole rivalry aspect, but any normal person would find that extremely odd.

Quote them.
Quote why it's okay to abuse fellow crows supporters over whom they support in a match not involving the crows.

Would a labor party candidate support the Liberal party in a seat they know the ALP arent going to win?

You want me to go back over the entire thread and quote posters? I have work in the morning buddy, I'm making tracks after this post. You read back over the thread and find them because I guarantee they're there.

Just before I go, I just want a yes/no answer. Everything else aside .. Do you think it's strange that an Adelaide supporter is barracking for Port Power in a grand final?

You would have to agree the hatred between Crows and Port fans is pretty intense. So when one of our own decides to support Port its pretty obvious you open yourself to a hostile reaction, its an act of betrayal. Do you think Trigg is hoping for a Port win? I and others have given you reasons why you shouldnt support them but you ignore those reasons and validate your support of our blatant arch enemy on the basis they arent Victorian.

ie you can't because every single time, it's strayed from the actual question, to irrelevant points like my reasoning for where I choose to put my support.

As for your question, seeing as you've been so incredibly gracious in answering all of mine , yes - I would, and would think that the circumstances must be extraordinary for such a thing to happen.

I can't believe some of you people are saying that if you barrack for Port this week then you aren't a true Crows supporter.

Lets use me as an example. I started barracking for the Crows in 1994ish. I had NO idea how they came about. I had NO idea about the whole Crows/Port bidding to enter the AFL. I just picked them cos they won a game, and I thought they'd be a good side to follow.

When Port entered in 1997, i STILL HAD NO IDEA about the whole SANFL to AFL licence bidding and rivalry thing. I just thought they were a new club to replace Fitzroy. This meant I still felt no fierce rivalry... the thing that pissed me off most at the time was that we didn't have a ground all to ourselves anymore! It is only in recent years that I have investigated and discovered this part of the history of these two clubs.

Now, I have also NEVER lived in Adelaide. I HAVE however, lived in Geelong my whole life. As a non-Cats supporter, I have had to put up with shit from Cats fans my whole life, particularly this year.

So I ask you... I started barracking for the Crows on the basis of one game, and am now one of the most passionate Crows fans you will meet. I had no idea about the supposed rivalry that is supposed to occur between Port and Us, but the team I always want to see lose is Geelong. So with me wanting Port to win this week, does that mean I am not a true supporter?

Whether I support them or not is completely irrelevant! I couldn't give a toss why I should or should not Port - it has got **** all to do with it.

As for the part of your post that was actually on the topic I've been pushing the whole time, and just about the first post to do so (kudos!), basically, what you're saying, is that the hatred between the two clubs justifies abusing fellow supporters in these circumstances?

They would just be expelled from the party for being a traitor.

And would it be justified, keeping in mind that the Labor party absolutely cannot win, and his support has ZERO bearing on the result?
In any case, it's a very very big stretch. There's a LOT of difference between political parties and sporting clubs. Exactly what does our club lose if Port win, beyond bragging rights?

No more like I can't be ****ed. They're all there, not sure why I have to treat you like a little kid and get everything organised for you, look back over it yourself.

So you admitt you're a strange person? Do you even realise you're in the minority here? Surely you can understand where we're coming from.

Anyway, seeing Dandy_GO's avatar pop up on every page of this thread is giving me a headche, I'm scooting.

INow, I have also NEVER lived in Adelaide.

That's all I needed to read thanks. You obviously have no idea about the rivalry here and what it's like to live here when your arch rival wins the flag. I'm sorry but that was really a horrible post. Next.

Leaving for good this time CIAO

You're missing the point. I'm still a Crows fan. Just cos I hasn't lived in Adelaide shouldn't make a difference.

Are you now saying that its okay to want Port to win if you are a Crows fan, as long as you don't actually live in Adelaide?

Please.

I'm admitting that the circumstances are exceptional, and I've, on multiple occassions, admitted that I know I'm in the minority, and don't expect anyone to agree with my reasons(nor have I said they're even relevant because they're not - I was simply answering, what was originally, your question). Yet again you haven't given me a decent reason, and now you're running away from quoting the reasons that are apparently there.

It would be justified. Even if you cant win, you dont help the rival, because every battle has an impact on the war.

Its not that big a stretch. Port are our major rivals, not just in football fans bragging rights, but in business. Another premiership may sway undecided people to support the Power, increasing their fan base and market share. In a two team town, every sucess the power has impacts on the Crows and our business.

You just don’t get it do you?

We as supporters would be shattered because the team we hate achieve the ultimate goal of the competition, winning a premiership. That’s as bad as it can get in AFL football, the arch rivals winning the flag, and at the same time squaring the ledger at 2 premierships. But that doesn’t even seem to compute to you because all you care about is keeping the Victorians quiet!

I'm not HELPING Port, though.

And I'd say the rivalry with Port has helped us in terms of attendances etc anyway. A good rivalry can be very very healthy to an organisation - especially when you follow the more dominant one.
