Going down by myself; no friend is keen enough to spend their dosh on wimbledon, but i thought stuff it, I've always wanted to go and this year is my best opportunity.
Yeh im planning to camp most of the 1st week (hopefully hewitt/tomic get outside courts so i dont have to camp so early. Then second week I have a friend in England who for the past 2 years has got semi and final tickets to both mens and womens for cost. 3rd time lucky i hope![]()
Have gone the last 3 years, usually play it by ear though. Usually take the chance to go home to Russia while I go to Wimbledon. Have been to the semi finals the last 3 years, I rarely go to the 1st week personally,
how difficult is it getting semi final tickets? do you purchase on ticketmaster?
I went last year after work and it was brilliant.
It was raining in the morning, so by 6pm there was no line, £10 entry and you could walk on to all of the big courts except center.
Don't forget it is light until almost 10pm, so you can see heaps of action after work.
Otherwise, you're in for some serious queuing (which the English love). There is even a 'how to' guide to queuing.
Have fun! But don't underestimate just turning up. You can get seriously ripped off on ticketmaster..
Nah I'll be queuing for most of the first week but can't for finals tickets obviously
Yeh my friend is from England and he's been to the last 2 mens and womens finals
