i'm pretty sure its a bug, because when you run backwards the player defending with his arms up gets stuck on the mark and cant run off in time to stop the other player running backwards, and around. so i think this is why its unsportsmanlike. Any way you manipulate the bugs in the game to win is pretty much called unsportsmanlike.

I'm pretty sure you can move your player on the mark backwards then across.... this will cut them off a bit.
Therefore, I don't think this is a major issue....otherwise you can't play free-flowing play.

Just a quick query about this "running backwards then around the man on the mark" business.

Why is this deemed "unsportsmanlike"? I may be thinking of something else, but if you are talking about waiting for someone to walk PAST the mark then running straight past them then that is a ridiculous rule. Its exploiting someones behavior, not the game which is in no way "unsportsmanlike".

Hard to explain but I think smithd132 outlined it. Basically it's something I've only ever seen 1 a-hole do and no one else really do it. It's more a time wasting backline tactic that allows them to run back into the space behind them while you're stuck on the mark momentarily.

Going to be away from the 30th July to the 2nd of August.... so please dont schedule me any games on these days. Thanks
