Sure the first aid wasn't just recharging? Never had that issue
 
Yeah it can take ages to refresh the ability to use first aid, it speeds up depending on how much you've leveled up the first aid ability in your team.

You certainly can't use one after the other
 
My Bro in law has finished this and gave it to me for "as long as I want". Had a quick flick through some info and one thing I want to know before I start is: How different is it to create your own character to using the default Commander Shepard? Does it affect the dialogue and gameplay or does it adapt to your own created character?

So is it better to create your own character?

When you create your own character, you choose your background story. Stuff like where you were born (colonist, space born or earthborn), your military history and your abilities.

The general story stays the same, but certain side quests and conversations will be unique to each type of character. You'll probably find yourself doing at least 2 playthroughs anyway, so you can experience different things
 
I'm picking this one up today on PC. Looks like it's improved a fair few things compared to the 360 version. Should be good!
 
I got it on the XBOX 360 but couldn't pass the first full story mission (near the end I think) so i put it down and got GTAIV, played it for a week put it down cause it was sooo boring and nothing compared to SA. Then got AC and haven't been able to put it down for 4 weeks straight, nearly finished it.
 
You serious? AC is one of the worst game I've ever played.

Mass Effect, on the other hand, is one of the best.

I've finished one play through with my guy. He was about 70% paragon, 20% renegade.

I'm now going to do another run through with a much older, more baddass guy. Hopefully the Bring Down the Sky content is released whilst playing.

I think if you'll find its very much 50/50 rather than 9/10.

One of the most shallow, repetitive games i've played. Looked nice...bout it.

9/10 is definitely pushing it.

I actually thought it was one of the most pathetic games ever. Sure, there have been worse games overall but given its big-budget nature and superb graphics, I excepted something more in-depth than a mobile phone game.
 
Hey just bought it for $20, good game so far. Taking me forever to get anywhere as I don't have the time anymore to spend hours playing a game.
