2 x 'that goal' in the first 3 minutes.
Oh man it still hurts.

They should carry a warning message. I nearly choked on my schnitzel.

By 'that goal' are you referring to the Nick Davis goal, if so ive seen it that many times that it has been burnt into my memory..... and i hate it
How dare you!!
...it shall only be referred to as 'that goal'

Do not mention that bastard's name...while I don't actually have anything against him, just hearing his name still hurts me

I saw it, first time since the actual incident happened. I didn't recognise it at first but my partner had to go point it out!!!

I started threatening the television.

Terribly sorry about that, i am new to the site and didnt realize what 'that goal' was.
Just one question had 'he' decided to join geelong would you happily accept 'him' into the team?

Better seeing it on TV than seeing it live like I did surrounded by a pack of Sydney **** who let fly at every Geelong supporter after the match walking out.

That brings back painful memories.

I share your pain. Those 30/40 minutes after the siren were horrific – Sydney supporters without one ounce of compassion or empathy at all.

Swans v Geelong, Wk 2, 2005
D-i-c-k-h-e-a-d kicked a goal with three seconds to go allowing the Swans to snatch a win from the Cats

The above statement/link is STILL on the GFC website... front page... i think we all know what happened by now!!!!

The hour after the game was terrible, the worst I've felt after a game, even more than a GF, because the game means so much more to me than it did back in the mid 90's.

The walk back to the apartment was just as bad. Every car that went past seemed to be full of gloating Sydney supporters.

I can just imagine what the buildup to our Round 5 clash against them will be like. :(

I actually went out of my way to go from Victoria fly up to Sydney to watch the game. It was the first time id ever been to NSW, and i never wanted to go back after 'that match'. The plane flight back was worse because i was apparently on the same plane as some of the players, Cam Mooney and Gary Ablett being two of them, never saw them but i was sitting their knowing exactly what would be going through their minds. I felt horrible and i still never want to go back to NSW again, unless we beat Sydney in a Final that eliminates them, then i'll be back so i can rub it in.

Well all we do now is do what the players have done, suck it up and do better next year, and when we win the flag this year we can rub it in, especially to Sydney, also St Kilda because they will have choked again

And get Mooney, in his new leadership role, to lift the team after hit and shouldering Nick Davis a little to hard (just hard enough to keep him out of the game.)
