Has anyone seen the big man since the game?

I'm really feelin for the kid. Wanted to give a shout out to him after the game but he was no where to be seen. Is he struggling to come to terms? Will he stay at Geelong?

He's obviously not too happy.
He was at home last night, not sure how long for though...
I thought he'd be out with the boys but it doesn't seem to look like he was.
I think he might try and leave, but I reckon we'll talk him out of it.
Feel sorry for him, but he'll understand eventually.

I sat on the boundary near the players enterance and saw him coming off early with a few of the VFL blokes after the game.

Me and a few other cat supporters gave him a standing ovation and told him to keep his chin up and congratulated him on his year.

His eyes not once left the turf. I guess he was taking it pretty badly the poor bloke.

Pretty weak if he leaves. Footy is a team game. Pretty sure he will have more oppertunities throughout his career.

Blake has already been approached by 2 clubs wanting to speak with him.

Not sure of his contract position (not that this has much impact nowadays) - he has agreed to meet with Western Bulldogs later this week. I believe the other club is Carlton.

I think if we got something reasonable for a trade you'd seriously look at it - if you take all the emotion out of your thinking then it's pretty clear cut imo.

Trent West has had a great year and is a good back up. King and Blake could ruck together for 2-3 years if we continue to manage them properly and hopefully jag another flag or two.

Yep, out partying it up in town last night. He didn't arrive with the boys, but plenty of them were there, and I'm sure he isn't one to hold grudges.

There was an article somewhere saying that he'd handled it surprisingly well, so I wouldn't worry too much.

His contract expires at the end of this year.

Couldn't agree more. Mark would have to be the first to admit his form running into GF was down. And Kingy was arguably the best ruckman on the ground on Saturday. So end of story.

If he tries to leave, you'd have to ask is he worth keeping if he can't see the big picture.

True, Blake was out last night at Lamby's with the rest of the team. He was not sober and enjoying his teamates company....alot!

They wouldn't ****ing let me into lambys because i was wearing runners!! what a wanker
The bouncers at Lamby's are smartarses anyway, I wouldn't worry too much, one of these days those bouncers are gonna get their just desserts the way they disrespectfully treat some patrons.
I've heard stories people getting picked up and thrown out for absolutely NO reason. My friend wasn't even drunk or being stupid. Just chatting at the bar with someone and was picked up and thrown out. He asked the bouncer 'why?' the response was "we thought it was getting full"

Childish if you ask me.

How about Egan? is he out and about too? I feel sorry for him too, though him not being there was for different reasons obviously.

I was at the players function upstairs at Lambys last night....

Blake looked like he was having a blast...

but Egan just sat in the corner for most of the night... his foot looked really swollen and he looked a bit down.

Very sad for Blake & Egan... but it will provide the whole playing group with extra motivation over the next few years... to win one with these guys in the side :)
