Can't believe no-one else is chasing Sauce, the new rule may have scared a few away.

The go home factor is a smokescreen, he just wants to play every week.

The boy will be a star.

I'm only worried about what will happen with Jacobs if we can't get a deal done. To lose a player with that potential for nothing would be a big **** up by the club.

Walker and Thornton aren't an issue.

Walker and Setanta are both contracted i believe. Thornton id give to anyone for can of beer, and id rather jacobs walked in the PSD and get picked up by Gold Coast or West Coast or something than be screwed around by Adelaide.

Its not the clubs fault no one else is biting and its not the clubs fault that it has a crap load of decent ruckmen at a time when everyone wants midfielders for some reason.

Personally I don't know why the Gold Coast hasn't been brought up as a prospective trade partner in regards to Jacobs.

I know there's some talk of the go home factor but if it's more abut playing opportunity then you'd think GC would be able to offer that.

If you landed Taylor Walker for Jacobs, I'd believe in Swann and Icke's black magic. Freak forward for a speculative ruckman would be the coup of the century.

more worried about not looking like picking up anything we need. collins (laidler... surjan very doubtful), mid and flank, or at least not kp. it was the talk before the draft. wondering if the sauce deal has held us up.

It's the twisting of words that's really annoyed me during this whole painful experience.

Why is Jacobs speculative and not Walker? Yet to see him be 'freaky' at AFL level, and Jacobs has been very impressive on one of the highest stages against quality opposition.

I could come back at this by saying we're getting ripped off trading an impressive young tap ruckman for a speculative forward.

Soon. Soon it will all be over.

We need talent on every line.

You shouldn't have any issues with the club looking to add depth, experience and a bit of mongrel to our list.

All good traits for a football club.

that's true enough, and i'm pretty happy with getting collins considering grigg was out the door. would be nice to get a tall, though in perspective we would be pretty unlucky if players like bower / jamison were to repeat what were arguably their worst seasons for the club.

I would say that 50 goals in two seasons is a fair output, but I agree, Walker is still somewhat speculative. Less so than Jacobs, but still.

And I agree - just twelve more hours and finally this whole saga will be over and done with  Can't wait to see what happens!
