Game Day ANZAC DAY Match Given Go-Ahead!

In huge news this morning, the E-AFL have confirmed that the ANZAC Day Match will be going ahead between Collingwood Magpies and Essendon Bombers!

With a twist... the E-AFL is BigFooty's own simulated league which was brought in immediately once the AFL suspended the season. Collingwood MAgpies currently sit 2nd on the ladder with a 6-1 record. There's no better time than now to get involved and help cheer on the Pies team!

The Pies are in red hot form early into the season which only gives more evidence to suggest that this is in fact a simulated league. But that doesn't stop the Pies fans from getting up and about as they sit comfortably in second place on the ladder after Round 7 having only lost one game so far. Coach ClarkeM says he is "looking forward to the day that means so much to so many people". He has already sent a stern message to Essendon fans on Twitter this week threatening anyone who boo's a champion.​

Essendon has started 2020 with a shaky start, winning 3 of their past 7 matches leaving them in 14th place on the E-AFL Premiership Ladder. Coach Loonerty expects the big occasion that is ANZAC Day Football will see the Bombers return to their best in what is always a game that either team could win on their day. So confident is Loonerty, he's already given E-AFL Coaches Award Votes to Dylan Shiel. League officials are now investigating any signs of further corruption.​

Key match-up: John Noble v Michael Hurley - John Noble has been a surprise packet in Full-Forward as of late - it will be very interesting to see whether Michael Hurley can combat his aerial ability. Hurley's ability to out-muscle Noble will come into play and if he can keep Noble to 3 goals or less, he will have done his job.
