Just a reminder to all you supporters out ther.

General Public tickets for this match go on sale from Monday 2nd March.

So if you are not already thinking about going and planning, get onto it. Cos nothing is worse than missing ANZAC Day football.

It is a full ticketed match, so even members I believe will have to book their tickets. I am not sure when the members tickets go on sale. Thay could be on sale now, I don't know.

Time to break the Collingwood streak, so get along everyone, and bring your Essendon mates.

:D

It's actually only club members on 2 March. General Admission is on 10 March.

I'm keeping an eye on them... I'm having my buck's party that day and will hopefully be celebrating harder after a Bomber win.

Does anyone know how many tickets you can buy at once? I'm a member but probably won't get my ticket until the General Admission sale.

Probably a stupid question, but if im a club memeber can I only get one ticket per membership?

Ta for the heads up. Kinda sucks when your bomber mates aren't members at times like these. Gotta wait till general admin go on sale.

I know exactly where you are coming from there. I have heap of Essendon mates down bush where I come from, but none are members.
I am stuck with the responsibility of grabbing Ten tickets this year. For about 5 Essendon, 3 Collingwood and 2 neutral supporters.
Worst thing is it is gunna run up my credit card big time, and even though they will pay me on the day, I will no doubt blow that cash over the weekend, and still be stuck to pay it off, lol.

just wondering if anyone could answer this question for me. i am a full afl member with an essendon club support package. i was wondering for the anzac day tickets am i classed as a club member or an afl member. no one at ticketek seems to understand that i am an afl member who supports essendon...not just an ordinary afl member who barracks for another team.

I had a look around at EFC, AFL and Ticketek websites and couldn't find anything on this tickets for non-members thing, but then I found this on the Collingwood page:

Member On Sale

Tickets go on sale to club members at 9am on Monday 2nd March 2009 for all Collingwood MCG games. Members will be able to purchase tickets for themselves if they hold a membership with entry entitlements to the game. At the time of upgrading to a daily ticket, members will also have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets for non-members.

So I think members will be able to purchase a ticket for themselves and non-member tickets too, thankfully, as I’m bringing two non-members with me.

I also found this: Note: For Essendon v Collingwood on April 25, a limit of 8 tickets per transaction will apply to club member and general public ticket sales.

Who'd have thought it'd be the Collingwood website that would be the most useful?

Just letting you all know that members are able to buy tickets for non-members today provided that you pay for an upgrade (i.e. you don't pay full price, just $13 or something). So don't miss out on great seats just because you think you have to wait!

Got mine

^^ you sure about that? I thought the "upgrade" related to the additional cost of the Reserved Seat, hence why it's only $13.

If you're buying for someone who hasn't ponied up for a membership, I'm pretty sure it's going to cost them more than $13 for a reserved seat at an AFL match, that's cheaper than general admin!

Plus, on the Ticketek site, you can only purchase ONE upgraded ticket, ie one per member.

I actually spoke to the club who said that Silver Members (basic) CANNOT buy tickets for non-members.

There were spaces for non-members though, but that may be for gold members and above; or who knows maybe the Silver members can too.

But I think the "upgrade" is merely the additional cost for members to reserve a seat, no?

That says to me that, whilst you are upgrading your members ticket to a reserved seat, you can also buy other tickets, if you have the right membership.

In any case, I have my tickets.

Section M2, Row AA :D :D :D Behind the goals, ground level

...I didn't say non-members pay $13 for an upgrade. When you book your ticket, as a member, you pay the $13 upgrade, and can then select non-member tickets too, who pay the full price.

I know because I did this. It wouldn't let me buy 3 general tickets alone, I had to buy one upgrade for me, and then it let me get the two non-member tickets. BTW, I'm only a bronze member, and was able to purchase these non-member tickets.

Upgrades are for members. It's called an 'upgrade to a daily ticket'. Then you select whatever else you want for others, i.e. non-members.

So, yes, I'm sure!

I rang tje club to see when I could buy the 8 tickets I need. They told me, that even as a high mark membership holder, I could not purchase until next tuesday, the same day the public can buy. The only people eligible to buy tickets were people who upgraded their memberships, whatever that means.
Seems a bit unfair that I pay for Hi Mark and have to wait until tuesday, when others can upgrade now and get first dibs on the best seats.

sorry, I read your post wrong then; and was given dodgy information by the old prune on the phone at EFC

I went last year and loved it. You reckon when they go on sale to the Public there will be any seats left?

Yes, but they might not be very good seats. Get in as soon as you can.

(You should be a member! :p)

Doesn't seem to help unless you are upgrading. My HiMark membership is not valid to buy tickets until Tuesday according to the club.

Bought my tickets today! :)

MCC tickets, so have to get to the footy real early to ensure a good spot. Looking at getting front row seats, or 2 back from the fence.

That is WRONG!

ALL CLUB MEMBERS, (AFL AND Home Team Club and Away with 17/18 game memberships) can purchase tickets NOW.
There is NO exception as this is OUR HOME game.

Collingwood Members CAN NOT buy tickets if they only HOLD 11 home game Membership as it is their AWAY game. Those members will have to wait until Public sales.

Besides the fact if you're a HIGH MARK Member and IT IS OUR HOME GAME you will be given a Reserved Seat so you won't have to bother buying a ticket.

Don't want my reserved seat. I need to buy eight tickets.
If you are correct I am getting sick to death of the people who continually give out wrong information when you ring the club. I was specifically told my membershio was not valid to buy tickets until tuesday.

Edit: Nope, just tried through Ticketek and am getting the same information. High Mark membership is not valid to buy tickets until tuesday. this is really shitting me.
